Finding Leko (2): The Night-Cat's Death

Blood Acceleration -> A skill that accelerates the blood flow which results in an increase in blood pressure. This ends up heightening all the five senses by almost doubling their sensitivity.

Rage -> An increase in blood pressure would increase the sensitivity of the receptors as well. It would make his blood boil and anger him infinitely causing an increase in the secretion of adrenalin and noradrenalin (flight and fight hormones). Due to this, he wouldn't feel any pain for five minutes. Also, his physical power would be doubled.

Dragon Eyes -> A pair of mystic eyes hailed from dragons that would let him see through illusions. It lets the user see clearly in dark places and during nighttime. One could even stare at the sun as long as he uses the Dragon Eyes. It is also capable of sending others in a state of confusion for a few seconds.

Of course, all these three skills were divided into levels.

The skills that he had mastered right now were only Lv.1. In total, all these Mystic arts have 10 levels, so he was far from being a true master.

Regardless, the reason why he trained all these three skills was that they were interconnected and were almost basic in almost all beasts and humans.

Controlling his own blood flow would make him calm at times. It can also cause intense anger and thus, the skill Rage could be used.

Although he was a kid, using rage, he could at least be as strong as an adult right now!

Further, the skill dragon eyes focus is also on blood as a lot of it is sent and concentrated in the eyes making them much more sensitive. Regardless, these were the three mystic arts that were Lv.1 right now which he was proud and thought about using in case of dangers.

Regardless, he ran and soon arrived near the forest. There were some bloodstains on the ground.

'Yes, if the blood belongs to Sir Leko, then he must have definitely been brought here and then left inside the forest.', Leo concluded.

Without wasting any time, he entered the forest after crossing over the wooden fences.

It didn't take him long to find Leko. After rushing only a little forward, he found him pinning himself against a tree trunk/

He wanted to ask what he was doing when he found a beast, right in front of him.

Yes, Leko was trying to climb the tree despite the pain, but the ferocious beast continuously attacked him, injuring him.

'That is…'

It was a Black colored shadow beast called Night-Cat. It had long fangs. Yes, its fur was completely black. Its eyes were yellowish just like most other cats.

It was quite larger when compared to a normal Night-Cat and thus definitely was above Level 10.

Leo didn't have any sort of knowledge about them so he had no idea how strong the cat might be. But without wasting any time, he rushed to help Leko whose left arm was missing.

Yes, the cat had successfully snatched one of his arms.

The cat was only half the size of an average man, but its speed was way higher. The same was true with its senses.

As Leo rushed towards Leko, the cat heard the rustling sound of the dead leaves under Leo's feet. It immediately turned its gaze towards Leo.

'Meow!'

Leko too observed someone running towards him, but due to dim light and blood all over his face, he could hardly tell who it was.

Despite that, he said, "Don't come here!"

Well, Leo was not the one to heed such a call!

Of course, Leko was the easiest and closest target right now. So the cat was supposed to kill him first.

However, instead of doing that, it ran towards Leo. It was intelligent and knew that even if Leko was left alive for quite some time, he won't be able to do much as he was disabled and injured gravely.

As for Leo, who was able to move and had a lot of energy, he might pose harm.

The cat ran quite fast. There was no way for a normal human eye to perceive the motion.

But guess what, Leo had the right skills for this.

His eyes started to shine with golden light as his pupils dilated and took a shape just like the cat or to be precise, the eyes looked just like those of a dragon!

Yes, he used the skill Dragon Eyes!

Thanks to this skill, the Night-Cat felt quite slower. He could perceive its every motion.

But that's not all, the Cat ended up being confused for a second when it stared at Leo's eyes.

It no more could control itself and kept charging without thinking anything.

'Meow…'

*blink blink*

And by the time when it was out of the state of confusion, the cat saw a knife, piercing through its chest.

Leo didn't have enough power that would let him pierce through the body of a beast that is level 10. Also, he could by no means match the cat's speed. Therefore, he thought carefully and used the skill Dragon Eyes thanks to which, he was able to land a critical hit on the cat.

All he had to do was point the knife at the beast. Because the beast's speed was high, it ended up piercing itself.

If it hadn't been confused, it could have possibly dodged the attack. However, due to the 1-second confusion, it ended up getting pierced in its abdomen!

But the cat hadn't lost its will to fight. It swung its limbs with the sharpened claws as fast as he could, but all the attacks missed Leo as he jumped back just to be safe, earlier.

"Father, are you alright?", Leo asked after rushing towards Leko.

"Leo?"

Leko realized that the person who ran for the rescue was none other than Leo. Without actually replying to his question, Leko raised his right arm and placed it on Leo's left shoulder, and started speculating.

"You-"

"Are you alright? You aren't hurt right…?"

"Yes, I'm fine.", Leo replied right away.

"Then what about the Night-Cat?", and just as Leko asked this, both of them turned their gazes at the last sound made by the cat.

'Meow'

The cat raised its right forelimb for the last time, while a few drops of tears broke out from its eyes, after which it ended up dying.
