19 Darion And Ai's Story - Part 2

"I wish you had told me a bit earlier…"

"But what to do, it's too late now… " – when he heard her say that, tears broke out in his eyes as well.

She turned back after saying that and walked away. Darion couldn't stop her as his feelings were conflicted.

He now regretted yet another thing – losing her friendship.

Since that day, Ai never visited Darion. She was the only one who made him feel alive, but after she started ignoring him, their relationship just got worse.

About six months later, on the day of the new year, Ai was about to give birth to the child. Her husband was not in her home at that time and there was no one nearby who could hear that. Everyone was away in the central part of the village to celebrate the night.

The year was ending after all and a small celebration which was contributed by everyone in the village was being held. Everyone was smiling and enjoying, needless to say, Darion was doing the same too.

For being a drunkard, some people tried to chase him away but others thought that he could take part in it too. Needless to say, he never intended to take part.

All he wanted was to see Ai one more time before leaving the village. Yes, he had decided to move on and get away from the village after the night had passed.

Some ladies, who were also joining the celebration, protested against Darion. They wanted him to not participate in the celebration.

Of course, their husbands or brothers asked Darion to leave as soon as he had arrived. It was his fault for drinking too much so this was an obvious reaction that one would get.

In any case, after being asked to leave, he turned back and started walking toward his hut. Instead of waiting for the night to pass, he had made the decision to leave the village right away.

However, when he was passing by Ai's house, he heard loud screams.

At first, he was surprised and wondered if he was hallucinating, but then after continuously hearing the screams and since the voice felt familiar, he realized that it was no hallucination.

He recognized it to be Ai's voice. Also, it was obvious since the house belonged to her.

He ran inside almost immediately only to find Ai, lying on the ground while holding her swollen belly.

She could barely open her eyes. It was blurry and as she had no more strength, she could barely afford to say anything.

Regardless, she noticed that someone entered the house as the door was banged open.

"Ai!", Darion called out to her as he noticed her in pain and sweating profusely.

"Kris? Is that you?", she called out with a soft voice as she fainted.

Kris was the name of her husband who wasn't present in the village right now. In fact, it had been eight months since he had left the place.

The day of marriage was the only day when he was with her, and then he vanished. Again, he appeared after a month and spent a night with her. It was during this night that both of them made love to each other.

By the time she woke up, Kris had vanished again.

The only note that he left was – "The marriage was just a way to ensure that my bloodline is safe. I never loved you nor did you ever love me. I think it is for the best if we don't interfere in either of our lives."

Ai, was heartbroken and could hardly think of anything. She wanted someone to support her.

Not knowing what to do, she left her house and went to ask Darion only to find him lying on the street.

He was lying on the street after being drunk. She somehow managed to lift him and then take him to his home.

Darion was asleep while Ai took care of him. Darion could see her shed a few drops of tears after seeing this, he slowly lifted his right hand and patted her head.

Ai then told her everything about Kris and what had happened. She knew that he was drunk and would perhaps not remember anything that she said, but by getting it off her chest, she would feel less burdened.

"I love you…"

"I have always loved you Darion, but my love…"

"My love wasn't powerful enough to go against my parents…"

"They cast me away only to get some gold coins from a traveling nobleman…"

"Ha…"

"I wonder why he chose me to begin with. It wasn't even love. It was just to give me his seed…but… why me?", her face was drenched in tears.

She looked at the bottle of alcohol near Darion's bed and without thinking much, just drank all of it.

Her feelings overflowed. She, without hesitating, kissed Darion and then had s*x with him. Of course, Darion was somewhat awake, but not fully conscious. They kept on going till the morning despite being drunk finally after which Darion fell asleep again.

Ai, who was still awake, wore her clothes and went back to her hut after apologizing to Darion. Of course, she apologized to her husband as well who was not a good person, to begin with as he didn't care about her.

That day, Darion kept sleeping and only woke up the next day. When Ai came to visit him, she was cheered up and wanted to be all lovey-dovey with him, but he really didn't remember anything about what happened between them.

This made her sad and she felt like she used his body. Nevertheless, she kept her calm and didn't tell him anything as she didn't want him to feel any guilt.

Soon enough, she was pregnant. She was happy to hear this, but at the same time, she was confused as she had no idea whose child it was. After all, she had slept with two men.
