Speaking in a calm voice with the most arrogant words, and truly believing in them, one could either be a lunatic trapped in their own fantasy, or a genius destined to reach the pinnacle if they don't die young!
Xue Qinghe couldn't help but feel a sense of inexplicable regret as she looked at the spirited young man beside her. Had all her time and effort in Heaven Dou Empire truly paid off? Everyone desires to be admired and stand tall among others, and she was no exception.
Unlike the ignorant young man before her, she didn't need any preparations to achieve the same spirited appearance. Her talent and background alone could easily overshadow her peers, even including the saint Hu Liena, who the woman in Spirit Hall wanted to set up.
Unfortunately, she chose the most challenging path and cut herself off from others, all in an attempt to prove herself to that woman. Chen Xin closed her eyes slightly, turned sideways, and fell into silence. Engaging in conversation with a fool is an insult, and continuing to argue with an idiot would only prove that he, too, is an idiot.
Chen Xin also took this opportunity to assess the young man's character.
Talent determines how far a soul master can go, and character determines the likelihood of their survival. Looking at the arrogance and conceit of the young man, Gu Rong shook his head inwardly, expressing his disapproval.
After pondering for a while, Ning Fengzhi smiled and said, "Okay! Everyone has their own aspirations. Although our Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect welcomes talents from all over the world, we don't force anyone. I hope that one day, I can see my young friend standing at the top of the mountain!"
Quickly finishing his tea, Lu Yuan placed the cup back on the tray, got up, and the carriage stopped. With a blank expression, he got off the carriage and stood outside, politely bowing his hands.
As the three white horses continued forward, Lu Yuan moved to the side to make way for the carriage behind. He calmly placed the Great Void Bone Gun on his shoulder and hung his shoulder bag, returning to his original outfit. Dust that came his way was automatically blocked by a space barrier.
"Every time I'm in a good mood, something happens that ruins it," Lu Yuan sighed softly, feeling somewhat exasperated. He hadn't invited or provoked anyone, but he was suddenly stopped on the road and received an invitation. After a simple test, he was rejected upon refusal.
Fortunately, he reacted quickly. He finished his tea first, placed the cup on the tray, and bid farewell to the guests in a somewhat brusque manner, retaining what little dignity he had.
Lu Yuan thought that even if there was an underlying subtext in this world, it didn't matter to him. He didn't need to care about what others thought of his actions. The notions of right and wrong from past events were merely concepts he attached to himself.
In this strange world, if he became strong enough, who would dare to refute him, even if he said something like, "It's not me, but this world"?
Yet, Lu Yuan acknowledged that this was only a superficial opinion he had formed at present. Similar to the shallow opinions he believed were right six years ago, he couldn't claim to have fully matured in his views this time. He hoped he wouldn't go astray again like he did six years ago.
Right and wrong are momentary, but good and evil persist forever. Original goodness may be tainted by evil, but evil cannot be eradicated. It can only be merged with better goodness and subdued.
"So, they should be glad they didn't meet the me I was three months ago," Lu Yuan whispered to himself, chuckling at the intriguing turn of events. It wasn't hysterical laughter but rather the kind of laughter that arises from encountering something truly interesting.
Taking a small notebook out of the small world, removing the pen cap, and Lu Yuan scribbled a few lines on the notebook. He liked to jot down occasional whims to avoid forgetting them in the future, after all, isn't it?
"One, I hope to drink, sing, and see all the beautiful scenery in this world."
"Second, I hope to raise a group of cute, lively, and clever little animals."
Glancing at the shoulder bag hanging on the bone behind him, Lu Yuan moved slightly, adding the word "completed" next to this wish. Too much liveliness wouldn't be good, but thankfully, Wade and his wife could handle it.
"Third, I hope to taste all kinds of food with different flavors in the world."
"Fourth, I hope to experience a sweet love."
"Fifth, I hope to live happily every day and not encounter any foolish human beings."
The sound of horseshoes disrupted his thoughts, and the tip of the pen paused, leaving a black spot on the paper. A rider came galloping and stopped not far from Lu Yuan.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Liu Yuan?"
"Yes, what's the matter?"
The rider dismounted and tried to pull the steed over with weak legs and feet, but the horse resisted. Lu Yuan put a stop to the awkward situation.
"Tell me, what do you want from me?"
"As entrusted by His Royal Highness, he learned that the young master has no mount, so he asked me to bring a fine horse for you to use as transportation."
"I see, thanks."
The rider nodded and then tried to bring the horse over, but Lu Yuan intervened, preventing any harm to the animal. The rider, embarrassed, quickly mounted the horse and joined the convoy without looking back.
Controlling the horse using soul power, Lu Yuan didn't really like seeing animals kneeling. After putting away the bridle, he grabbed the notebook, stepped on the saddle, and climbed onto the horse's back in a slightly awkward posture. It was his first time riding a horse, and the feeling was wonderful. The horse was docile and matched his every move, which made him very satisfied.
He gave Qian Renxue a five-star praise in his thoughts and added another line to the first wish:
I hope to "control the horse" while drinking, singing, and seeing all the beautiful scenery in this world.
Yes! Wishes could be supplemented and modified! Lu Yuan had added this wonderful feature to the small notebook in his hand, as if his weird personality was talking nonsense and making up random things.
It was quite peculiar.
Then, the tip of the pen paused slightly, leaving the last two lines of writing on the small book.
Sixth, Hope that tragedies will never happen again.
Seventh, I hope to return to my hometown after my death.
