Sword Intent!

Looking at the 4 people in front of me I make a quick decision.

'I cannot let them make the first move' if they get the initiative on me and dominate the battle I won't even be able to fight back.

I quickly charge and slashed my sword at them, the cutlass guy blocked it but he clearly had a hard time, as he lost his balance.

The mallet guy quickly made his move, his soul ring lit up and a strike came from my right. Sadly for him he is a person that I'm the least afraid of here. Most of the thugs have a martial soul suitable for cutting, which can do damage to me.

On the other hand an assault type soul master focused on blunt force trauma can't really hurt me, especially after 9 years of body refining. Someone with such a low cultivation rank like soul master cannot even hurt me.

I raised my right hand to block the strike. *BAM*a small shockwave rang out, as the mallet hit my hand but...

"What?"

I didn't even move, nor did the hit hurt. As expected something like that shouldn't be hard to handle. The mallet started to turn back to its original smaller size as the soul skill run out. This is my chance.

With all of them bewildered I quickly slashed my sword at the mallet guy and cut his throat, his eyes went wide open before he fell down.

I quickly moved back to make some distance between us, I diverted my attention back to the other 3 thugs and their faces looked horrified and angry at the same time. Mostly angry though, I killed their friend after all. They definitely won't back down after this.

The wolf guy lashed out at me with anger, his first soul ring lit up the wind burst out and he quickly got boosted to right in front of me. He then attacked me with his right hand claws. I quickly blocked his attacked and pushed him back with Caliburn.

From both of my sides the other two tool martial soul users tried to stab me, I dodged just in the nick of time by ducking not to get hit.

I really don't know what was happening at this point something just flipped inside of me and I switched to high gear, strikes were coming from all strikes but I was able to dodge or parry all of them.

Until at one moment I finally struck back, my second soul ring lit up. Caliburn started to get covered by holy element and with a big vertical slash I pushed them back, the holy element dispersed at that moment.

After that I quickly pursued them, my target is the wolf guy he seems to be the leader. I slashed my sword at him, he dodged to the back and I slightly missed his neck. I don't know what happened there, an unexplainable feeling came over me.

My mind became clearer and more focused then it ever was, then a flash of light appeared from my sword and shoot out from it. The light then quickly pierced the wolf guys neck before I could even catch what colour it was.

Sword Intent! I finally achieved it after 3 years of training with my sword, I don't really understand how I grasped it but I did. It seems the pressure from the battle really helped me. Under it I really felt like I was refining myself. I guess that's what tang san means by flowers in the greenhouse.

I didn't really expect to gain sword intent from this fight, but I guess the objective of using this battle to improve myself. It's about time to end this fight anyway, I could do it long ago after all, I still haven't used my current strongest martial soul which is spirit eyes.

My second soul skill would easily allow me to win this fight, but that wouldn't allow me to improve at all.

My mind went back to the fight. As I hit the wolf guy with my sword intent the others rushed up to stop me, but it's too late anyway. Both of them attacked me at the same time and I again dodged their attack by jumping to the back.

My adrenaline levels were really getting lower by the second once I calmed myself down, I'm not afraid anymore. I'm going to kill them right after this after all.

I call back Caliburn and change to spirit eyes, as two black rings appear behind me, the first one is about 10k year old while the second one is around 15k year old.

"What?!" They both shout at unison, but I don't care. My first soul ring lit up as a 3d image of the area appeared in my head, using my first soul skill I then latched onto their auras. Afterwards I activated my second soul skill.

As my second soul ring lit up both of them started to become wobbly, they didn't attack they just moved and flailed around as if they went mad. I know they didn't in fact my second soul skill from my spirit eyes does something completely different.

It completely strips the targets of its senses, their eyesight becomes completely blurred, they cannot make out what direction is which, their hearing gets replaced by a constant sound of static, and they don't feel any of their body parts.

Of course the effect varies based on cultivation rank and spiritual power, but I would like to just clarify that they in fact are only soul masters, and their spiritual rank cannot even compare to mine, and they are also hit by a 15K year old soul skill.

As I recall back my spirit eyes I quickly grab my head with my hands. It really hurts, this soul skill dried up quite a bit of my spiritual power. Well now you know why I didn't use this soul skill before, the battle would be too boring.

I quickly summon Caliburn and leisurely walk up to them, with the swift sword strikes both of them are dead. After killing them I came up to the last guy who was knocked out at the beginning and finished him off.

I looked back at the battlefield, everything was cracked, sword marks were left everywhere, and blood filled the entire corridor, I also was bathed in it quite a lot of it.

"It's time to head back I'm beat"

When I left the building it seemed to be already left at night, the moon was high and there was no sun in sight, I also seemed to be in an unfamiliar place but it was definitely the same little town I came to.

It took me quite some time but I got back to the inn, I couldn't really show up in blood so I sneaked inside of my room. Good thing this is night right now, otherwise things would be hard.

As I entered my room through the window, everything was just as I left it before leaving. I quickly went to the bathroom, I really need to clean myself after all of this.

After about 30 minutes I was able to get all the blood of me, but after I started to wash my clothes I really felt the horror of it. Damn it's hard to get off, I guess that's what deadpool had to go through.
