Chapter 4 Mimicry Cultivation

After learning about how Zhao Ya's spirit ring came to be, Ning Fengzhi gave Zhao Ya a small clearing in the forest behind the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.

Zhao Ya spent an entire year transforming the clearing. Blue silver grass was very common everywhere however there were not many blue silver grass spirit beasts.

With help of Chen Xin, Zhao Ya moved all the blue silver grass from the previous Spirit Hunting Forest.

There was a huge lotus pond nearby and the pond was full of lotuses. If they walked on the cobblestone path beside the pond, they could smell the fragrance of lotuses. There were stone benches and tables beside the lotus pond and the wind blew in a refreshing manner.

In the pond were two Golden Tortoises the size of Zhao Ya's hands. Not only are their golden turtle shells extremely eye-catching, they also seem to be very thick. The gold on its shell was extremely proportionate and deep, and every shell line was dark gold. There weren't any flaws at all.

The Golden Tortoise's head was different from the head of an ordinary turtle. There were three ridges on it, and it wasn't oval like a turtle's, instead being slightly triangular in shape. There were even a few barbs that resembled whiskers at the bottom of its head. Its entire head was dark gold. The further down its head, the brighter the gold was.

Golden Tortoises are known for their longevity, as they are a symbol of auspiciousness. As long as one cultivates close to them, they can avoid any calamities. As a result, they hardly have any enemies in the world of spirit beasts. Any spirit beast would be willing to get close to them. They have no problem living to at least ten-thousand years. Golden Tortoises are very auspicious, and they possess great auxiliary abilities.

Ning Fengzhi found some blue silver grass spirit masters and helped them reach spirit rank ten.

Then Zhao Ya used her mental strength to help guide them to condense their spirit rings with the help of the surrounding blue silver grass.

Although the effects were not as good as Zhao Ya's, each blue silver grass spirit master was able to at least obtain a one hundred year spirit ring.

With the successful experiment, other martial spirits were tested as well. Fire attribute spirit masters could condense spirit rings with help from fire attribute spirit beasts. Water attribute spirit masters could condense spirit rings from water element spirit beasts.

Two years later, Ning Rongrong condensed a six hundred year spirit ring surrounded by gem type spirit beasts.

After helping to condense a spirit ring, the corresponding spirit beasts would gain an increase in their cultivation.

After condensing her second and third spirit ring, the surrounding blue silver grass all became at least five thousand year spirit beasts, releasing a stronger breath of life than before.

Zhao Ya's own blue silver grass spirit became even more translucent like sapphire. Her black hair was slowly being overtaken by a blue color.

It seemed that each spirit ring would bring a small change to her martial spirit and to herself.

The skill brought by the second spirit ring allowed her to adapt better to different environments. If her blue silver grass was burned, she would gain a slight immunity to fire. If burned for a long time, her blue silver grass would be completely immune to fire.

The skill brought by the third spirit ring was similar to a flying ability. It allowed people to become as light as a feather. They could jump up to 50 meters high and move through the air. Each floating time was determined by the number of Zhao Ya's spirit rings and the skill would refresh immediately after landing. For every spirit ring, the floating time will increase by 5 second. With nine rings the floating time would be 45 seconds.

As the moon was setting in the west, the blue silver grass sparkling translucency gradually disappeared as Zhao Ya withdrew from her meditation state.

With the best mimicry environment, her progress could be described as one thousand miles per day.

However, a solid foundation was very important for future cultivation. So Zhao Ya deliberately stalled for a year before condensing her second spirit ring.

In addition to the 49 blue-indigo stars, there were also 7 cyan stars.

The cyan stars represented the Ice Element that awakened after being promoted to a Mid Tier Mage.

There was a hair clip for Ning Rongrong, a circlet for Ning Fengzhi, an exact replica of Gu Rong's bone armor and a pair of fingerless gloves for Chen Xin. Other Stardust Tools were for restoring spirit power and enhancing mental strength.

"Zhao Ya." Ning Rongrong's shouting broke the silent tranquility of Zhao Ya's mimicry environment.

"I'm by the pond." Zhao Ya's gentle voice caused Ning Rongrong to look around. The voice felt as though it was right beside her, but Zhao Ya was no one to be found.

"There you are. We're visiting the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy today."

"Why are we going to the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy?" Zhao Ya knew that wherever Ning Rongrong went, she would eventually follow.

"We're meeting the prince, Xue Qinghe." Ning Rongrong skimmed her lips unhappily.

"Are those gifts?" Ning Rongrong's eyes lit up happily. Zhao Ya's gifts were usually delicious snacks or beautifully embroidered clothes. But those small objects were also pretty.
