Rama woke up the next morning, fully aware that floods were inevitable in this part of the city, based on all his previous experiences.
It wasn't life-threatening flooding but rather minor inundations that brought debris and puddles.
However, if one happened to reside in an underground place with a less-than-ideal drainage system, one could only hope for the floods to spare their living quarters.
"I really need to move now," Rama muttered, gazing at the state of his basement from a distance.
He could see that the murky water had already filled the basement, turning it into what resembled a sewer. In the past, Rama had to endure something like that.
Now, looking at his own situation from a better perspective, he realized that his previous life had been nothing short of pathetic.
He snorted, grinning. But then, he felt grateful for what he had now.
"Yeah, let's find a new place to live."
