The beginning of all and a little background story of the MC.

Somewhere in a facility. People wearing lab cloaks, gathered. Reviewing the data they had found. None dared to speak, except one. He wanted to know if it will work.

Doc: Of course it will. It has to, I've been working my whole life for this!

The man that asked was silent. True they have been working on it for a long time. But he still wanted to know- to ask if it was safe. In the end he decided to not agitate the Doctore anymore. The higher-ups have been preassuring them, not less the doctor. If it does work then they would be saving a lot of people. But if it did not, they will bare the responsibility.

Experiment Zer0.

Amoeba + Oncolytic virus + Necrosis

These combined created a virus meant to heal inside injuries, added with Morphin that relieves pain. However the result was a fail. It beacame a deadly virus that once in contact, will spread fast, eats the insides of a living creature.

Scientist wanted to erase the term Pain. As such they used various research. Different Virus to test the compatability. At first they used animals, ones that are not extinct. But it didn't work well. They couldn't breakthrough. They met a dead end. Desperate for results, they used the means of experimenting humans. The result was satisfactory however, the patient showed sign of decay. The skin went dry, their cells died, blood became poisonous and finally their brain died. Scientist were frustrated. Being pressured by the higher ups did not help either. Anger led them to do illegal things, such as kidnapping children below 10, using illegal methods. But none still survived. The buried the bodies without remorse. Erasing the evidence.

??: Um, only one left sir, a girl 10 years old, survived the virus.

?: Hoh? alright, let's get back. Once we succeed those good-for-nothing higher ups will come begging at our feet soon.

They dubbed the experiment as 'EXPERIMENT ZER0' for none survived it. Except for one.

Years pass by. The research was stopped. Reasons unknown. The bodies buried in the soil rotted but the bloods was absorbed. The surrounding died, flowers died, the soil also died. The land became dead. Yet no one tried to find out.

Humans were ignorant, they ignored one thing they shouldn't have. Ignored the environment. Ignored how the world they live in is slowly dying. What the humans did made the planet suffer force change. It forced itself to adapt. Changing the environment around it. Earth created 'energy' with it's own will and intent. Earth became a sentient akin to a 'God'.

This energy is distributed to any life force, since the living won't be able to survive it's new surroundings. Of course this gave the dead a chance in life but instead they became creatures who are brainless. They're body consists of fungi. A kind of worm that eats the host's body. Coupled with the Experiment Zer0, they slowly evolved.

Other people would make them ranks. The lower ones are zombies with no attributes. An elite one has enhanced physical attribute. Next to that is General, these ones are capable of 'thinking' you could say they are the most dangerous zombies- but no, there are more. A king, the very first zombie to evolve with all attributes. Though they are rare.

Humans are powerless against them. Destroying balance. As such the Earth created something similar to an A.I. This of course is not an ordinary one. This A.I. is created to simply help the balance. Strong and the weak in both sides but not onesided.

So Earth searched for the right person to wield it. A person whose in between the conflict. A person who choses neither sides but it's own. After searching for so long, it finally found one.

Rin Yaegam, a highschool girl with average life. Her parents died in accident when she was 5. Ever since then she lived together with her grandparents, but even they had to leave. Rin was distraught, she almost lost hope -almost. Her supposed Uncle and Aunt appeared. At first she was skeptical, they were after all stranger to each other. But the couple proved their identity to her. So she now believed them however, she was met with a dark thought. If they really are my relatives, then why didn't they saved mom and dad? She of course had asked this but the only answer she would get was either silence or them dodging the questions. Rin was upset, them not telling her anything made it worse. However that was not the end of her suffering. She lost her already broken hope when they suddenly died. All cause was an accident.

This was naturally the plan of Earth. To see if she was worthy of 'it' and the result was a satisfactory. Rin didn't go down the evil side.even when life treated her as a joke. She didn't go to the nice side either, she didn't have a thought of wanting to help those people that are in the same situation as her. Rin was in between. She would help if needed, and become evil when neccessary.

The earth was happy, finally choosing her to have 'it' . Thus the beginning of her journey.
