Prologue

Judy's anxiety intensified, and her fingers began to tingle as she witnessed the van's roof gradually disintegrating, the metallic surface being eroded by a corrosive concoction, causing temperatures inside the vehicle to soar to unbearable levels.

Its occupants remained concealed behind masks, making their identities inscrutable as they continued to hurl the deadly potions.
