Return From Dead

...the Pardus had inflicted a long scratch on the Vorgan's wing. The Vorgan was aiming for the Pardus's throat, while the Pardus was almost biting the Vorgan's vulpine neck. This Vorgan was of the standard variety, not one of the non-venomous giants that resided above the NecroGate Falls, but it was among the largest I'd ever seen. It should be able to put up a good fight against--I blinked. The scene remained the same. The orange-red sky was accurate, but I realized I was indoors, lying on a bed. I was staring at a ceiling mural. Someone must have thought it amusing for me to wake up to such a sight. Could I see the painting in a way that made it look like the Vorgan was triumphant? I could, and I did. It was a well-executed mural. I inhaled deeply and--I was alive!
