Chapter 70: Ash Hope
In two months, Sophia could build a new small hut. It was with Mooney's direction, of course, yet she was happy and proud to see her new home. Next, Sophia created a needle from a tiny wood branch and knitting tools. Then Sophia could knit cloth that later she made into a short. Later, she also produced a shirt.
Mooney also taught her how to act like a boy. She considered her new name as a male would be when she wrote her name on the beach sand with a pebble. She finally nodded.
"I know my new name, Pop."
"What is it?"
"Ash. It's taken from the letters of my name. So, it's a part of me." Sophia glanced at the river and closed her eyes. "All of us are from Ash and will return as the Ash someday. But, the day my father died, my comfortable life ended in the Moon Band pack. Sometimes, I feel if you didn't come and help me, I might end my life too, Pop."
