Chapter 69

He looked. In an instant he felt drowsy as he stared deep into the starlight. Everything felt so slow but it went so fast. The stars disappeared, leaving only darkness. It occured to Sonic that he could no longer see the floor. Or anything else. Just a dark void. There was no house.

Sonic felt himself being pulled into the void faster than he could run. Everything he saw blurred together as he felt the frame of reality shifting. He could see a darker darkness outside of his own vision. Nothing made sense anymore. He saw a color in the distance. Gray. It soon turned into a house as he got closer. A house.

He could hardly remember anymore, but it felt like someone had once told him to not look at the house. Sonic found he couldn't breathe as he looked up at a window. In there, was a man. He had a large round head and a thin and short body. Sonic almost couldn't make out his face. All of his features were black like if someone drew them with a pencil in contrast to his mostly gray body. His expression seemed to be ever-changing. Blurring together just like everything else. Sonic felt like throwing up.

The man disappeared. Sonic then saw the door open a crack. He couldn't see anyone there. But then, it opened more. There was certainly nobody there. But then, he heard a strange, inhuman scream as the same man ran towards him from seemingly nowhere.

"HE TOLD YOU NOT TO LOOK AT MEEEEEEEEE!" It shrieked, as a black ooze made its way down from any orifice on its face.

Everything turned red with Sonic's own blood. He had made a fatal mistake. But he couldn't remember how he had gotten himself into this situation. He didn't remember who he was. Where was he, even? It all felt so wrong. The red faded to green as a strange sound that they didn't recognize played all around them.

"I told you, you will NEVER escape..." A voice that they didn't recognize mumbled. It was deep, echoey... and it felt like it played for infinity. And they stayed there for eternity, never seeing anything ever again.

The end.

Bad ending reached: "Don't Look"
