23.The Grand Tour Of Asgard

It all felt like a dream to him..but at the same time it was so fucking majestic as hell though

The literal rainbow bridge filled with so many mystical energy and the beautiful palace up ahead, the flying ships casually hovering in the air; Erick was from the future..

A time of technological advances and things beyond your wildest dreams but here that surpassed everything he knew, Asgard was so much more than this..it felt good to be here..it felt like he actually belonged here..

Erick still in complete awe looks around as Thor and Sif just laugh to themselves seeing Erick's reaction to all of this

"Are you absolutely sure that I didn't die and go to heaven? Because that's what this feels like.."

Sif lays her hand onto her son's shoulder

Sif:I assure you this is all very much real in fact how would you like a grand tour of Asgard itself?

Erick's mouth dropped as he nodded his head 'yes' at super speeds..it was like looking at a child who had just discovered ice cream and asked if they wanted more

Thor:*laughs wholeheartedly* Well then we shouldn't keep you waiting! Come on and allow us to show you what you have been missing all of these years!

The God of Thunder spins Stormbreaker as he flies in a straight line towards the golden palace as Sif just sighs

Sif:He always seems to forget that not all of us can fly *looks at Erick* would you mind?

Erick simply nods as he holds his hand out to his mother as they both vanish in a trail of lightning running down the rainbow bridge known as the Bifrost

Thor pushes the large doors open to the throne room as Erick begins to run around everywhere looking at everything and gawking at the most dangerous yet shiny things

"This is so awesome!"

The speedster continues to run around the throne room as Sif softly smiles seeing the look of excitement on her son's face

Thor:I haven't seen you smile in a very long time my friend

Sif:I have a reason to smile now, after all of those years looking for him..I finally found him

Thor could see the hesitation in her friends face as he nudges her shoulder and asks

Thor:But your afraid that he will have to return back to Midgard

Sif:I do..you should have seen him Thor, he fought against the impossible and yet he rose to become a good man despite being put through all of that pain and suffering he had to endure

Thor places his hand on her shoulder comforting her

Thor:Then he truly is your son..you may not have endured that same pain as he has but in a way you did, you persisted against your own nightmares. You want him to stay and that I understand as you know..I have daughters of my own

He looks down at Stormbreaker and rubs his knuckles

Thor:But I also know that your son is a grown man, if he wishes to stay then he can but if he doesn't want to be here we cannot force him; trust me as a father myself..we have to let our children decide what path they choose we can only guide them so far until they are ready to do it on their own

The loud crackle of lightning coming to a stop screeches against the ground as Erick happily let's out a breath of excitement

"Wow..did I already that this place is amazing? Because it really is!"

Erick turned to face his mother as she smiled but Erick sensed something was off about her, he knew that look..he knew why he sensed that feeling

Thor:I'm glad you enjoyed exploring the throne room but there is more than just this, I can show you if you wish

"Wait really?..*looks at Sif* can I go?"

Sif's face slightly shifted from this, was he really asking for permission?

Sif:Yes of course you can go, Erick

Erick clapped his hands together as Thor gestured for him to follow him as the God of Thunder and the speedster sped out of the throne room as Sif stood there by herself as Erick came running back and hugged her mother

"Thank you..I know we just met not that long ago but im happy that I met you..Mom"

Sif hugs her son tightly as her smile grows even more

Sif:I'm glad to have you met you aswell my son, I am proud of the man you have become

Those very words brought a calming yet satisfying feeling to Erick..growing up as a child he wanted to do everything he could to make his father proud of him but no matter what he did; it was never good enough for him..

But hearing his own mother tell him that..those words brought such joy to Erick's ears

For a brief second Erick's hands spark with orange and white lightning as Sif sees this happen as the lightning reverts back to it's normal colors; she didn't understand why this happened but she was sure it had to be for a good reason

Erick pulled away from his mother's grasp as she held his hands and leaned up kissing his forehead

Sif:I need to ask you something, Erick..if you could would you choose to stay here on Asgard?

Erick's smile faltered as his hands slipped away from her mother's

"I don't know--I mean it's not that I don't like being here but I have people who need me back home, people who have been there for me..my life may not be perfect but it is my life. But being here.."

He looks around the throne room and then back at his mother as lightning sparks from his fingertips..he felt drawn to here, he felt something inside of his very being call out to him..maybe it was untapped power or maybe it was the faint memories of this place that ran through his mind

"It feels much more different than I ever thought..I wish I had an answer for you but I don't, all I know is that right here right now..im with my actual breathing and living mother"

But deep inside of Erick's mind he knew that he had to choose one of them, he couldn't be two places at once both on Earth and Asgard, he knew he was fast but he wasn't that fast to create a speed mirage at two separate places..the amount of energy that would take..it'd be lethal even for him

Thor enters a weapons and armor filled with such sharp and dangerous weapons and armor as Erick stands behind Thor not wanting to prick himself by a sword or axe hanging on the wall

Thor:Here we keep Asgard's most important weapons and armor in case for an emergency such as invasion or when we are truly needed

Erick's hand sparks with lightning once again as Thor notices this as he sees the lightning point itself to somewhere particular in the room

Thor:That is odd..it appears to be pointing to..Mjöllnir

At the very end of the room, a hammer sits on a rock as lightning crackles from the Uru within

As Erick slowly walks over to it his hand hovers over the handle the hammer as he stops and turns to Thor

"Is this safe to do? Because I don't want to accidentally release any kind of curse in here"

Thor calmly nods his head reassuring Erick

Thor:There's an enchantment on Mjöllnir..only the worthy have lift it and if you are worthy of Mjöllnir then you may wield it's power, but that is for you to decide not me..

Erick takes a deep breath as he relaxes himself..his heart beating steady, his once trembling hands now completely steady as he puts his left hand over to the handle

Thor holds Stormbreaker in his hand as he sees the hammer very very slowly lift off the rock that held it down, as the power of Mjöllnir sparks as the lightning brushes against Erick's skin

Erick on the other hand feels the immense power surging throughout his veins as he slowly lifts the hammer up into the air but something unexpected happens..

He feels a sudden outburst of energy shoot through his mind as he groans in pain, his vision starts to shift as he stumbles back as he drops Mjöllnir as Thor quickly rushes over to him and catches him before Erick can hit the ground

As his body begins to violently shake as Erick sees something..no he sees someone, someone that felt so very familiar to him but was a complete stranger

It was a tall man that looked roughly about about two years older than him as Erick could see he wasn't the only one affected by whatever was happening to him, he saw the man fall to his knees as he saw some people rush over to his aid

As Erick's vision become more blurry, the last thing he saw was his mother rushing to him as Thor held her back..
