Chapter 57: Songs

Saying goodbye to both Thalia and Annabeth was harder than they first thought, mainly because of the little girl who wanted to come with them, which Enychta would never allow, only when she was able to hold herself on a fight against several monsters at the same time like Thalia, Pruno, Luke, and Enychta can! Until then, she has to train and learn about everything she can so she can use that knowledge when fighting, so Enychta gave her the mission to study monsters with Thalia and learn everything she can about them, which the girl agreed and Enychta made sure to have Thalia keep an eye on the girl so she doesn't do anything stupid.

And like that, they left to go to the underworld. At first, Enychta wanted to go directly to the underworld and be done with this quest as fast as possible but seeing the shining eyes of his lovers as they took his hand and they walked together towards their destination, humming songs together, warmed his heart and he conveniently forgot about the Grey Sisters.

"Hey Eny, can you sing for me?" Luke asked out of nowhere while they were walking down a highway, the hot asphalt on the ground reflecting the heat of the sun on their bodies, only Enychta seemed unfazed by this as he used his shirt to create shade and shadow for his little lovers who were having a hard time on the sun, his bare chest reflected the tan he was getting from the hot sun but he didn't care, it didn't hurt him because he could literally set his body in fire and he would be fine. Grabbing a water bottle and giving it to the pink-haired boy who was sweating a river beside him, giving the air his sweet scent that only Enychta could smell because of his monster senses. "Sing?" Enychta asked absentmindedly as his hand brushed against Luke's forehead, who nodded.

"Well, I guess I can sing something..." Whispering to himself, Enychta began to mentally check songs that he knew and he found one that he felt was good enough for him to sing right now.

"Feeling my way through the darkness..." His voice was a little husky at the start of the song, but he quickly got better at it.

"Guided by a beating heart" Luke and Pruno were a little confused by this song because they never heard it, but they just kept listening.

"I can't tell where the journey will end" Enychta chuckled at that fact.

"But I know where to start" His voice vibrated a little at the end of the 'start'

"They tell me I'm too young to understand" The longer he sang, the more memories from his past he would see... He remembers singing this song with his siblings.

His nostalgia only increased the feeling factor of the song.

His voice grew quieter as he returned to the world he was currently in, they have been walking for the entirety of the song and yet he didn't feel it, he was having too much fun to care about it all, he chuckled at the end of the song because of a silly memory of his younger brother singing the wrong lyrics for this song for his entire life until he learned that it wasn't the way he sang. It was only then he remembered it was a 2013 song and they were currently on 2000, so he just created that song on the spot. Well, because Avicii didn't write it yet, so it was technically him who sang the song first, so it means he created it... Why does he feel like he stole something from someone?

"I never heard that song before..." Pruno whispered with newfound vigor as his legs continued forward, the shade of Enychta's extended shirt kept his skin from directly being hit by the sun, fucking summer had to start just now and they just ran out of fucking sunscreen! They will buy more don't worry, they just need to find the nearest shop or the nearest gas station. "So, where did you heart it before?" Pruno's curiosity was at its peak when he saw Enychta's eyes reflect his smile as he said: "Well, nowhere, I guess I just created it huh." Luke looked at Enychta completely surprised, Pruno was as well because they always thought Enychta was singing a song he heard before, not one he just came up with on the spot... Wait, maybe he was writing this for some time now?

Is this Enychta's hobby? Writing songs? "And what other songs did you wrote?" Luke questioned the smiling Enychta who shrugged before lowering himself to whisper on his ear sweetly: "Do you want me to sing more?" Luke could only nod as he felt heat on his face, not from the sun, but from the blush that formed. Enychta smirked as he thought of another song to sing.
