The Hunt

Running from the danger hot on its tail the elk was dodging trees left and right, never slowing down, not even to check its surroundings as the only thing that it could think was to run because its life was a stake here. The only dangers that it had ever faced were giant snakes and huge eagles which were easy to avoid and escape because eagles weren't commonly found in these parts as they enjoyed more open grasslands because it has hard to capture pray that ran in between the trees and most snakes were slower than the elk so it was an easy escape, but this was different. Never in its life would it think that there would be such a dangerous and life-threatening creature that roamed the lands.

10 minutes later the elk was exhausted for it had never had to run maxed out for such a long time most predators would give in and go for easier prey. Just as it started to slow down from behind it came a piercing kunai that missed by an inch and planted itself in the tree just next to it.

Out of nowhere, it felt a boost in power and strength and it shot off again faster than it had ever done in its life. It had completely lost it, its mind went blank as its legs moved by themselves. No instructions were needed. It ran again for a few minutes, ducking and dodging left and right until it saw a weird wooden cottage. As soon as it saw the cottage it started to fall which it found odd as it tried to get its legs to run, but they didn't respond. All went black and the only thing heard was a loud "Thud" its body hit the floor and skidded a while before coming to a stop. Everything had stopped except its head that continued to roll before hitting a tree and coming to a halt.

'Ha, stupid elk ran just the way I wanted' Izuna thought to himself. "mom I'm back" he stood there and yelled.

"Ok sweetie I will go start dinner" Sara spoke in a gentle tone and got up from her chair and went into the house.

'ahh just another peaceful day' he thought as he looked at the dead elk laying in front of him. Izuna was now just over 5 years old and was a natural-born killer. He had seen the elk and got into a position where when it saw him it would start running towards the cottage and he guided it every so often with a kunai that he had made using stone; although it wasn't as strong and effective as a metal one it still did the job; as the saying goes "a blade is only as sharp as the person using it", then when I had come in seeing range of the little cottage he quickly caught up to it, and without it even knowing sliced its head off. This meant that he wouldn't need to drag it back through the woods which saved him time and effort.

Since the elk was big enough for the two of them for a week, there wasn't a need to go out and hunt again so he prepped the meat and made it so it could last for a week and he stayed outside to continue practising some new Jutsu that he was trying to create. this new Jutsu was to coat your weapon with chakra but also fuse an element with it such as water or fire, since Izuna had an affinity for all the natural elements (fire, lightning, wind, water and earth) he had succeeded with fusing lightning, fire and wind chakra with his blade but he was stuck on water and earth because these two elements were his weaker ones, and also because each element had different steps to achieve this as they all had different effects and all had different forms and elements. He continued this for 20 minutes until his mother called him inside to eat.

This was his routine for the past year, Eat, Sleep, Train and Repeat but he started to notice unusual activity in the forest and fewer animals. This was easy to notice as he had lived here since he was born and knew the ins and outs of this forest. So he concluded that there was something either scaring away the animals or hunting them down.

A few days later Izuna was out improving his hunting and intel gathering skills by trying to trace where an elk had gone, by seeing its hoof makes he estimated that it had been about two days since it was last here 'a nice and fun challenge, I like it' he thought, but then something caught his eye. It wasn't tracks from an elk, snake, boar or any wild animal but human tracks and he saw this because he recently awakened his three tomoe Sharingan which allowed him to see things in a much slower perspective than the two tomoe and hid vision had increased so she could see small detail like an ant 50 meters way.

He found it odd as he rarely found traces from other humans, in-fact he hadn't met anyone except his mother. he estimated that these tracks were only a day old so he decided to follow them. After a few hours he had still not caught up to them, but this was to be expected as they were other shinobi and weren't like animals that wandered aimlessly and stopped whenever, and this group of shinobi were obviously not in the mood to stick about and have a nice time.

By using his years of deep experience as a hunter, he could tell that they were trying to get somewhere but were trying to be careful to not be seen. He deduced this by the footprint on the ground which showed them running then stopping every 200 meters so he assumed that they didn't want to be found and had a sensing ability that could reach up to the 200-meter limit, but in order to do this, they would have to stop every so often.

Izuna didn't have the time to play chase as he had already spent enough time following them this far. Even though he had only known his mother he felt no excitement or want to meet people; he only need his mother and this was because he lived all his life in solitude it was the only thing he knew and wanted to know, he only had a place for his mother in his heart. So he decided to turn back and go home as he didn't was his mother to worry about him because she knew that she loved him very dearly, and he loved her the same as she was the only person he had in this world.
