Genin Exam

# Next week

Reo arrived at the academy. His father, Kakashi left the village with his team for mission. At least that's what he said.

Arriving at the academy, Reo did not walk towards his classroom. Instead he walked towards the examination room where his chunin exams would be conducted.

Kakashi was travelling along with his team. They were on a mission to protect the old man till he reached his home. It was a simple mission, but he always felt that something was off about this.

'Today is his exams. Best of luck, kiddo! Both me and your mother believe in you.' thought Kakashi while strolling over.

Suddenly out of nowhere, a large steel rod with a sharp end, slammed into Kakashi's chest.

"Sensei..." x3

Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke shouted out.

"Not good...", whispered the old man.

"Ha-ha, is that what a Konoha Jonin is capable of? Pretty weak for me.", a man with a mechanical arm spoke out.

"Don't waste any more time. We are near the Konoha borders. Let's finish this before rescue team arrives.", said another person who wore similar style of clothes as the former.

On top of a tree, unknown to all the six people, Kakashi was still alive and watching over them.

'Time to train, little Genins.' thought Kakashi.

Reo walked in the examination room, where he was greeted by two invigilators. To his surprise, he saw Hanabi standing there with a serious face.

He wanted to go and talk to her but after seeing that they were in an examination hall, he understood something and finally decided against it.

Moments later, the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen came in and started speaking.

"Everyone, we all are gathered here to invigilate the Genin examination of Hatake Reo and Hyuga Hanabi."

He signaled both of the invigilators along with Hanabi and Reo.

Reo was taken over into a seperate room along with one of the invigilator. So was Hanabi.

Looking at both the kids, getting ready for their exam, Sarutobi was left with a thought, 'Why did both Kakashi and Hiashi, told me to increase the difficulty of their exams. Do they think that the academy exam is weak or what?'

Reo walked into the room, chosen to hold his examination.

The invigilator in front of him spoke out, "Hatake Reo, you are required to complete three tasks in order to graduate as a Genin."

He continued, "First, perfrom clone jutsu. It must be 5 clones, all perfectly stablized."

Before his voice died out, five clones appeared in front of him.

He was stunned and unable to speak for a moment. It was not because of his speed, instead, he did not summon normal clones, they were shadow clones and 5 shadow clones to be exact.

Seeing the invigilator not speaking anything, Reo was thinking, 'Dad told me to not showcase my full potential. Look like my performance was too low. I will now use more than 20% of my power. Can't let these ninjas' speak ill about me or my father'.

The invigilator had not idea what Reo was thinking or else he might have a serious depression.

After an hour, both Reo and Hanabi along with their invigilators came to the Hokage's residence.

The invigilator handed down their reports of the examination and made their way out. On their way out, both of them turned and took a final look at both the kids, as if they had seen something extraordinary.

Sarutobi Hiruzen took a look at their reports and was stumped up. He did not expect that both of them would be this good.

'Looks like I will have to increase the Genin exam difficulty for recommended candidates', thought Hiruzen.

He took a sip from his old fashioned cigar and began speaking, "Congratulations! Both of you have passed the Genin examination and graduate form the academy."

He continued, "You will be together in a two member team. You will be introduced to your instructor tomorrow. Till then, you have a day off. Enjoy! You won't get chances like this often."

Reo and Hanabi were strolling down the streets. They went shopping, then to restaurant, and finally, seeing that evening had arrived, sat down in the park nearby.

"You know, today was a special day for me. I haven't been out this much playing and enjoying. It was my first time", said Hanabi with a mesmerizing look on her face.

"Yeah, me too. I train with Dad often. So, basically it's kind of a breather for me. So enjoyable", replied Reo.

Both of them enjoyed each other's company and just like that the night descended.

"Damn, this is getting too hard to handle", said Kakashi who know was facing a rogue Jonin, Zabuza.

Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke were too scared... no, they were too weak to help Kakashi at the moment.

"Kakashi, I heard your name a lot. It's a pleasure to fight against you. But you might feel pressure fighting against me", said Zabuza while launching his giant sword towards Kakashi.
