Prologue

Hades pov,1/6/1991

I was standing in an hospital room in Offaly , it was a beautiful place where I came ever so often after a heated debate with my brothers or an exhaustingly argument with my wife , I visited this place even after Olympus left for America , it was where I met a woman named Alicia Cadmus a daughter of Hecate goddess of magic and the decendent of Cadmus founder of thebes, over the period of 2 years we fell in love I knew it was against my oath on the Styx and my wife but I could not help it I felt a feeling of love I did not feel for some time the last time this was several years ago with maria di Angelo a few nights and then here I am over in the hospital room

I was holding my son as I felt the soul of Alicia taken by Thanatos into the underworld " place her in my throne I will come in some time stay there " I ordered as he nodded and left for the underworld .

I looked at the boy , I felt love for the child beyond measure , as I was admiring the child I felt the presence of a woman appear next to me she had wite skin wearing a traditional Greek attire for women with two dogs appearing by her side , to say anything tell him it was my orders her name was Hecate the goddess of magic she turned to me then at her daughter she had a distraught look on her face as gave a quick prayer in ancient Greek then looked at my son .

"Is that-" I cut her off by saying "yes , would you like to hold him" I ask holding the baby towards her as she grabbed the child to admire him , while that was happening I quickly leaned and petted the two dog as I was pondering my next decision I cannot raise him in the mortal world as he is 3/4th god making his scent much stronger add on a child of a big three and it's a recipe for disaster there is also a good chance my brother will find him , the ancient laws say that gods cannot raise their mortal offspring but they do not say anything about another deity raise them finishing my thoughts I turn towards Hecate , seeing her play with the child as they were both giggling

"Hecate can you do me a favour , can you raise the child in the underworld , I cannot raise him since the ancient laws and Persephone don't allow me to raise him" I ask her knowing that she will raise him if I ordered her to but I wanted her to raise him so that he has a parental figure in his life without him being neglected . She looked elated when he asked her this.

"yes absolutely it has been several years since I have raised a child but if I may ask where are we going to raise him and what should we name him" she asked him with a questioning gaze as she continued playing with the child

"he should be raised in the underworld for however long it take him to be strong enough to face monsters and get to the camp without my aid he shall be trained and taught by you and Thanatos as both of you are closest to his set of powers and at the age of 11 he shall be enrolled in Illvermony for his education , I will occasionally also teach him but you two are the main ones as for his name we will take a quick detour to Elysium for Alice to name the child herself"

"Well then let's go" she says as we shadow travel to my throne room. I see Thanatos talking about something to , as we enter they notice our presence as Alice runs up to her child and embraces it as she starts coddling him , I cough to get everyone's attention

"As much as I love this reunion we have to get to the subject at hand" as I catch up Alice and Thanatos on how me and hecate decided to the raise of our child the both agreed to it "now then Alicia can you name him before I send you to Elysium" she brightens up and then says "thank you hades" she took five minutes and the said

"i got it his name should be Edward Odysseus Cadmus son of hades descendent of cadmus founder of thebes" she says a fine name , after a last good bye thanatos takes her to elysium

Time skip 1998 no one's pov

We see a boy with neatly combed raven black hair and bright blue eyes and a man with black hair and eyes with wings folded on his back fighting with scythes as the boy latches with that of the other mans and pulled himself to the man using the momentum he tries to kick the abdomen but his leg was grabbed flung away but the boy apparated behind the man as he uses his scythe to diagonally slash at the mans back but he evaded the slash and uses his scythe to fling the boys scythe away as he quickly knocked the boy of his feet and he put his scythe in front of the boy , he pulled the boy up and started lecturing him

"you have improved Edward and your use of your apparition was ingenious but you need to only use it in dire situation as your body is still developing it takes a lot of your magic and stamina you can try it when you are at least 11 or 13 and your use of your scythe was good it can kill most monsters but unfortunately your enemy is me" the man lectures as they had some ambrosia and nectar as five picks up his scythe as it turns into a wand ,

This scythe was created by the combine effort of Hecate Thanatos hades and an elder cyclops , Thanatos provided the design of the scythe and his enchantments Hecate provided the necessary enchantments and the hair of a Thestral as the core and hades provided the needed materials for the blade and the elder cyclopes forged the weapon , the blade grows with the core of five to accommodate him and allow him to use it at its fullest potential it was a godly weapon rivaling the weapons of gods five named it Crimson gate

"yeah, I know but dad will not let me go out telling me that I am not strong enough even you and gran agree that I am strong enough so why cant I go to the the outside world" five huffed as he changed his outfit to that of normal clothes

"your father has his reasons to keep you here for now go and change you have lessons with Hecate" he says as they walk up to a cliff overlooking the underworld which was currently being renovated as after years of the wasteland looking domain hades decided to collect a few of the smartest Athena children cyclopes and workers to renovate it into a grand capital Persephone and the other underworld gods were gods were elated at this as the held a grand feast that day he announced it

Speaking of Persephone, she was angered at fives existence but decided to keep a cold distance from him his sister Melonie was much nicer and she was teaching him the basics of intangibility but he was unable to accomplish it.

Edward's pov

after finishing my lessons with my gran about Greek mythology i was going to take a nap but I was interrupted as a skeleton came out of the ground and came in front of me bowed and spoke "master five lord hades wishes for your presence in the throne room" it said as it was swallowed by the ground , taking a deep breath I shadow travelled to the throne room in front of my father but I did not have the hang of it so I stumbled , my father noticed this and look amused as I straitened up and looked at him

"you must be wondering why I have summoned you , I have decided that you are strong enough to go to the overworld your destination will be amp half-blood in new York we are currently in California so you have to do some travelling this is your quest , you shall head out by dawn so I want you to pack a bag of your belongings and necessities and get a full night of rest and a good meal before you go" hearing this I was elated I thanked him as I shadow travelled to my room packed finished my necessities and by tomorrow morning I was in front of Charon in front of me were Thanatos my father gran and Melonie

"bye sister dad Thanatos ,gran I will make you all proud" I say as I go to hug all of them

"five all of us have a gift for you from each of us" my father says as we pull out of the hug

"this is a pendent, is a fine work put It with yourself at all times it will help you at the most of dire of times" my sister says as she gives me a pendent with a emerald stone , itake it and wear it around my self

"this is a grimoire it was passed down through your family I have added a few important spells I think you would like, keep it in a holder specifically created for you for you" she says as she gives me a book , it felt right in my hand as if had just reunited with an old friend

"I have decided to give you a clock similar to mine" thanatos says as he give me a clock similar to his I take it and wear it around my shoulders

"and this is my gift for you it is known as lost vane it was created by a previous child of mine it will help you in your battles it can turn to whatever you want it to , be well son make me , your mother and family proud" he told me as I left the underworld
