Son of Asgard

Odin, the king of Asgard and Allfather for the Nine Realms had once been a conqueror. One so vile that his children adopted this mentality that they were above all others. Indeed, you had heard me right, children. Hela the Goddess of Death and Drüin the God of Might. The two served as Odin's chiefs for the battles that brought Asgard to it's height of power. Although as the war progressed, so too did the Asgardian drive for war and conflict. That ended however when one day, Odin married Frigga, and found that there was more that could be experienced than war. Although one must ask, why did Odin have a son before Thor and Baldur? That is because he originally didn't, I am his son, the future king of Asgard! //This takes place roughly in the DCEU, ALOT of things will be changed. Incursion

'New Gods...', Drüin thought as he walked down the rainbow bridge heading for the Bifröst chambers, 'Beings of great power and strength to the point that they surpass even ALOT of Marvel's gods. From what I understand I may be in the DC movie verse after having a good look at the Parademons. If that's the case then Asgard has a chance....if not? Then God help us all if this doesn't send the right message.'

Drüin stepped into the Bifröst chamber and saw Heimdall, Odin, and Hela standing by. Odin was by Heimdall as the two stood at the controls. Drüin walked up the steps, and stood beside his father and Heimdall. For a moment the three remained silent, as they stared off into the stars. The silence was almost tense, somber like. Odin was the first to break the silence, a deep breathe leaving him as he began to speak. "It has been thousand of years since the last time I had used the Bifröst in this way..." Odin stated to no one in particular. The only one reacting to his words being Heimdall who frowned as his golden irises remained affixed to the stars beyond.

"Unfortunately, we must call upon this power", Drüin said with a calm tone, "I do not wish to make myself out to be a bloodthirsty warrior. However this Darkseid has proven to us that he is fully capable of entering Asgard outside of Heimdall's line of sight. From what i understand from our prisoner's words, it is a form of technology called the Boomtube. Darkseid believes himself outside of Asgard's reach, we must show him that he is not."

That last sentence made Odin look to Drüin, giving him a serious glare as he held out his spear Gungnir. Drüin turned to his father, and tossed Aëgor over to Hela who caught his weapon. Right as Drüin placed a hand on Gungnir and was about to take it, Odin held it tightly. It caused the God of Might to look into his father's eyes. "What you do today...will be recorded in Asgard's history books", Odin forewarned, "It will be remembered for how ruthless that you are capable of becoming. How cruel that you will be..."

Drüin returned Odin's glare and slowly nodded while taking a firm grip onto Gungnir now. "Then let it be known that what I do today, will be known as the day that I sacrifice honor for Asgard's sake."

"You do not aim to destroy Apokolips?"

"If I did...then I would not be the God of Might and Valor."

Odin's face softened a bit, before removing his hand from Gungnir. Drüin took Gungnir, then turned and began to insert it into the Bifröst's controls. Heimdall placed a hand onto the God of Might's shoulder, helping him see where he was trying to target. "Breathe deeply my prince...see through my eyes.." Heimdall consoled. Slowly Drüin's eyes began to give off a golden glow as he began to take deep breathed. His body radiated with rushing energy from the Bifröst, as if he were being used as a focusing point through Gungnir. He gritted his teeth as he began to see galaxies rush past him, planets of all shapes and sizes, red dwarf stars, all forms of life. Until eventually his gaze landed on the world that he wished to bombard with the Bifröst.

Drüin sucked in a breathe, then with a breathe, he turned Gungnir counterclockwise. The Bifröst began powering up, then within a fraction of a moment, it unleashed its' great power. Drüin watched as the rainbow beam poured down into Apokolips, specifically at a dark palace that had Parademons and several lifeforms rushing to escape. That was when he saw a bare of hueing burning eyes glaring up at him. He knew who this one was, and he didn't waste time to move the Bifröst to try and kill them.

'Just sit still Darkseid, i'd be doing us all a favor..' Drüin thought as he watched Darkseid immediately moved to get away from the Bifröst. The rainbow beam brought that dark infrastructures, crumbling them as if they were built poorly. Just as Drüin finally caught Darkseid in the Bifröst, he felt his body ache. "My prince!" Heimdall called and immediately pulled him back, the power that had coursed through him was beginning to overtake him. Odin quickly retrieved Gungnir, depowering the Bifröst. He looked to Drüin who was being held up by Heimdall as Hela rushed over to check on her brother. The God of Might held up a hand, showing them that he was well. However there was a look of amazement on Odin's eyes. He was staring at the power that was inside of Drüin, power that he didn't think would take to him.

'By Bor's beard...the Bifröst's power is infusing itself into the boy's soul!' Odin thought, then stepped down from the Bifröst to Drüin. "Do you believe that Apokolips will seek peace?" Hela questioned Drüin.

"Nay, they will most likely understand that we are not afraid of using whatever means that is at our disposal...to deliver justice." Drüin answered, getting a nod from Odin as he gave his son a neutral look. "What you say has truth, there is a tale that the both of you must know." Odin said, getting both of his children to look at him now.

{Inner City, Asgard}

Odin had Hela and Drüin join him in the relic chambers. The trio walking slowly past many artifacts from past battles, including the Eternal Flame of Life. They past another relic that looked oddly like a sword of sorts. Then Odin came to a stop near where the Destroyer was. He turned to look at Hela and Drüin who stared at him expectantly. "Long ago, before I had become the Allfather, and before I was old enough to join my father in battle", Odin began to say, "Bor, the previous king of Asgard as well as my father had faced the forces of Apokolips on Midgard long ago. Asgard joined the battle late, having not known that it was in danger. Once my father joined the fray, the tide turned. The one who lead the forces of Apokolips was Darkseid. However he was far more brash then, reckless. He was not aware of Asgardian might, nor was he aware that we had outnumbered him greatly."

Hela listened, but Drüin paid attention as of this were a history lesson. This was unwritten history, something that Odin wished to hide for whatever reason.

"My father lead Asgard to victory, and aided the mortals and the gods of Midgard in safekeeping an artifact that Darkseid would use to render an entire would without life. They were called the Motherboxes, great artifacts with immense and terrible power in the wrong hands. If could create life, and take it away. I tell the both of you this now, because we are in possession of a Motherbox...and Darkseid may or may not be aware of it."

Drüin nearly grimaced at the revelation of that knowledge. Now having a general idea of what universe that he was in, he knew full well now that he was in the Zack Synder DC Universe. Meaning that Asgard had a chance to survive if they were lead right. Now he needed to know what year it was down on Midgard. So that he could make future plans for future events. "Why not simply destroy the Motherboxes father?" Hela asked with a raised brow.

Odin looked to Hela and let out a sigh. "My father had already tried, numerous times in fact", Odin replied then tapped Gungnir down onto the floor, "That is why when he grew weary of trying to destroy them....he rebuilt it for a different purpose." The metal like cage that kept the Destroyer away disappeared. Out came the Destroyer, it's tall and metallic body on full display for Hela and Drüin. That was when Drüin realized what the Destroyer actually was and was terrified by the power of it for a moment. "He built the Destroyer armor out of the Motherbox...." Drüin said, causing Hela to stare wide eyed up at the Destroyer.

Odin nodded and tapped Gungir on the floor once again, causing the Destroyer to return back into it's cage. "Midgard is under our protection, much has changed since we have last gone there", Odin said with a serious tone now, "If Darkseid is indeed focused on Midgard as you say Drüin. Then we must double our efforts to keep the Motherboxes out of his reach. For this to happen, we will require allies, as well as to mobilize our armies."

Hela and Drüin nodded to Odin who locked his eyes onto Drüin. He walked up to his son and stood about six feet from him. "My son, you have shown great leadership, charisma, compassion, bravery, strength, and wisdom beyond most of your peers. I am envious of some of these traits...but I am also proud that you gained in at a young age what I failed to until I was much older. I leave the defense of Asgard and the Nine Realms in your hands. Not as King no...but as Lord Commander. A rank second to my own."

Drüin blinked twice then felt his mouth gape open with shock. He stared at Odin and so did Hela, though she would have liked it that Drüin had become king instead. Even so this was a good step forward for the God of Might. Drüin didn't know what to say, he tried to find the words but nothing came out of his mouth. Before he could even mount up a reply, the doors to the relic room nearly burst open. Coming down the steps was Hermod in full armor.

"My king!", he called, "Heimdall calls for you, he says that a group calling themselves the New Gods of New Genesis wishes to meet with us on Midgard!"

Odin looked at Hermod, then looked to Drüin who was looking to Hermod now. "What say you Lord Commander?"

Drüin looked to find Hela, Hermod, and Odin staring at him expectantly. He was now in charge of nearly everything else except running the Nine Realms. That was alot of responsibility being put onto his shoulders. A burden that he was going to take without little hesitation. With a stoic look coming about him, Drüin turned to Hermod and stood straight. "Who is their messenger?" Drüin questioned, to which Hermod responded almost immediately.

"He calls himself Lightray." Hermod answered and watched as Drüin nodded his head.

"Very well, we shall meet with these New Gods. Hela you stay and make sure that Asgard's defenses are ready for any sort of invasion. Hermod have Brunhilde and her Valkyries ready to ride into battle if this turns out to he a trap. Also inform Tyr to be prepared for war, a missing arm will not stop that old war horse."

With his orders Hermod nearly speed off up the stairs as Drüin turned to a smiling Odin. "What?"

"Nothing, simply admiring the future." Odin stated, and watching Drüin become taken aback by those words. He looked at Odin and Hela before slowly turning and heading off to meet with the New Gods. Once he was gone, Hela looked to Odin. The two stared at each other and shared a nod, as if they had a plan being set into motion.

{1825, Midgard, North America}

The Bifröst came downwards, smacking into a forest. Once the Bifröst had left, it was only Drüin and the supposed messenger Lightray of New Genesis. The man was red haired, slim builded, and rather handsome when it came to looks. His attire was cloud white, golden inlayed, with red marks. He had a beaming smile on his face as he stepped forward. Drüin followed closely behind the New God with a cautious stance. Aëgor was in his grasp and at the ready, prepared to skewer the New God if given a reason to. It wouldn't be long before the entered a clearing for acres of grasslands. It was late at night, with little to no civilization in sight.

Drüin could make out two shapes in the distance, a trio of sorts. Two appeared to be male, while the other was female. As Drüin and Lightray drew nearer and nearer, the God of Might and Valor was able to make out who these individuals were. One was in a scarlet red attire, with a body that matched Dwayne Johnson's. He was adorned with a silver helmet and golden inlays on it. He had a hostile stance and stood at the ready to attack.

Beside him was a woman, a black haired beauty who looked enchanting. She was adorned with a cloud white, void black, and golden armor. She had a sword at her side, as well as blue eyes with her red hair. Unlike the man beside her, she had a more relaxed stance and eyed Drüin closely.

The last one seemed to be the one that drew the God of Might's attention more than the others however. He looked old yet boasted the physique of a bodybuilder. In one hand he held a golden cane, the armor that adorned was a mix of golden and blue robes. His hair and beard was cloud white as he stood more stoic and wizened like. As Drüin and Lightray reached them, the New God joined his compatriots. "You must be the rumored God of Might...I had hoped to speak with the King of Asgard." The white haired man said with a calm tone.

'So we have Orion, Lightray, Bekka, AND Highfather?' Drüin thought as he put the butt end of Aëgor into the ground. He was still adorned with his armor, as well as stood a good twenty feet from the group. "The Allfather can hear you just fine from where he is", Drüin stated dryly, "What is it that you wish to speak about?"

Orion seemed to take offense to how Drüin was talking, but Highfather held a hand for the New God of War to stop. "If the King of Asgard has sent you, then I take it that he trusts you enough to speak on his behalf", Highfather said before continuing to speak, "New Genesis has been fighting the forces of Apokolips for eons, millenia. We have just gotten word that apparently Apokolips has made an enemy besides ourselves. I believe that we could benefit from an alliance between each other."

Drüin raised a brow at Highfather, he wasn't entirely sure that this man actually meant what he said. "You say it as if it is easy." Drüin commented.

"Well no, I would very much like to know what weapon it was that caused Darkseid's palace to be obliterated."

"I cannot share that knowledge."

Highfather frowned a bit when Drüin said that, but pressed on for an alliance. "And what of the alliance?"

"What would Asgard benefit from an alliance with you?"

Orion spoke up now, his voice filled with venom. "You may have given Darkseid a bloody nose, but don't think that it gives you the right to speak to the Highfather in that way", Orion spat, "He has been fighting this darkness longer than you had time to drink from your mother's breast!"

Drüin turned his gaze unto Orion and gave him a scolding glare. "And yet he has not been able to defeat or fatally wound Darkseid?"

"Enough, we are not here to speak about Apokolips", Highfathed reminded, "We are here to seal an alliance with-"

Before Highfather could finish, a loud booming sound went off to the group's right. A Boomtube had opened up, and out stepped the one being that immediately made Drüin tense up and prepare for battle.

'Of course...that bastard survived it...' Drüin thought as his body began to radiate with power. His blue irises landed on the still living form of Darkseid as he stepped out of the Boomtube, then looked at the assembled group before him. His eyes immediately landed on Drüin as a dark smile began to form on his rocky and grotesque lips. He stood a good seven foot nine inches tall, his body more muscular than humanly possible, and his armor in a dark ornate kind of design.

"I had hoped to find you here, I believe that we have business to speak of." Darkseid slowly said, his tone holding malice despite what he was saying. Though those words did make Drüin curious as to what the Dark God of Apokolips wanted to speak about.

"And what would that be?" Drüin asked, and watched Darkseid place his arms behind his back standing straight.

"A Truce."

Drüin thought about those two words before his face contorted into confusion. He wasn't exactly sure if he had heard Darkseid right. The one being who wasn't known for mercy, compassion, or even stopping a conquest wanted to a truce.

"You will have none of your lies corrupting this young god, Darkseid", Highfather said with distaste, "An alliance will be formed, and the universe will finally be rid of your filth."

Darkseid sent a glare to Highfather's way before raising a brow at him. "You mean to use the Asgardians as your proxy to face me?", Darkseid mocked, "My how the benevolent and just Highfather has fallen. Having others fight your battles for you."

Drüin was starting to drown these two out, he was in between two rivaling factions trying to get in good graces with Asgard. Had Drüin been behind a screen watching this event, then he would feel as if he were on the ends of his seat. Yet he was in this moment in the here and now, having a decision that needed to be made. He pondered on the upsides and downsides of both New Genesis and Apokolips.

'On one hand Darkseid would stop from trying to attack us...for a time', Drüin pondered, 'On the other hand this could be a trick that try and get us to lower our guard. Highfather sounds like he seems well, but depending on what version that I'm dealing with...he could be just as bad as Darkseid. Especially since Bekka is here, he could use her to get married with me and try to have us killed on wedding day.'

Drüin weighed his options, his gaze going up to the heavens above. For a few moments of silence there was nothing said. Darkseid and Highfather waiting with anticipation on what Drüin would decide. When the moments seemed to become more than it seemed, a deep breathe left Drüin as he lowered his gaze to now glare at the assembled New Gods.

"Asgard...stands alone", Drüin began to say with a warning tone, "You New Gods have dragged others into your wars. You have manipulated, wiped out, and used all who fought at your side. Asgard will do just fine without you, and if you decide that we cannot be left to our own devices...then you will know the horrors of a true war."

Drüin took a firm grip with Aëgor, and raised it upwards as power began to radiate off of it. "This is my promise to you..Asgard will rain Hel before it allies itself with the likes of you."
