Ambush Part One

The next day Wu Shuyu along with Qin Ming and her two younger sisters, Wu Xuefeng and Wu Ya got into the carriage and headed towards the temple which was a three day trip. The temple was built at the top of a tall mountain where the path up was very dangerous. There was only a single path and it was not very big. There were however many turnaround points that were stationed periodically along the trail. This allowed people to pull over and let others pass by. Just the trip to the top of the mountain where the temple resided was a day's trip.

Wu Shuyu had made sure to make all preparations so that they had extra blankets and other necessities. It was not unheard of to have freak storms that would dump a lot of snow at once while climbing the mountain. It was truly a pilgrimage that was teeming with hazards.
