Chapter 3: Magical Training, and Emotions.

As time carried on and the world moved forward, in the dry desert Solomon was celebrating.

His laughs and cheers vibrate throughout the trunk - Haha, He finally organized a ton of ways to get home.

He spent about five days looking through the library. Two books that I found the most interesting and helpful were:

The energy of the world: Mana? by Lucinda R. Ravenclaw, written in 1097, is a first edition book that would probably sell for thousands.

Deceptively Unseen by Alberta Toothill, she was a dueling champion, hundreds of years ago.

From Lucinda, he learned that mana, or magic as it was called is by will and imagination. I knew with all the powers and abilities in shows and manhwa I could recreate all of them, but that was not possible. Yet.

Solomon studied spells that would come in handy and were simple and easy. As simple as it could be, he spent twenty days casting Expelliarmus. He finally could hit the targets in the dueling room. Sometimes he didn't have enough power to cast it accurately but with all the practice he could get two shots off. The second spell he focused on the most was Accio. Why? because if he disarmed someone, the wand could be called to him.

He also took time to look through potions. There was an important potion that was a must. Polyjuice this potion would come in handy. He read through Moste Potente Potions by Phineas Bourne. This was a potion used by Hermione and it would come in handy if he had the body of an adult. The book went into detail about the potions and how to make them. But the most important part was the use and restrictions. The effects of a single dose can last from 10 minutes up to 12 hours depending on how well it's brewed. In the potion room, he had about 56 Polyjuice vials.

Solomon had to definitely try to grab someone's hair and see how long it would last for it to become an integral part of his plan. The other important information about the restriction was the age. It was forbidden to use it under the age of 2 because the person ran the risk of staying in that for life. The body, soul, and mind were not mature enough to change. Imagine a baby taking it with a piece of hair from an adult, things would get wacky. In addition, Phineas Bourne talked about death in the Polyjuice state and how it could be permanent.

As he continued to practice throughout the month he wrote down all he could remember from the Harry Potter series. He did not know if he was in the original or if it was an AU: if Dumbledore was a senile, old man or a master manipulator. He also did not know if the world he was in was a crossover but at the moment it really didn't matter. Every bit of information he could write down he took note of.

Two months later:

*Duck* accio.

*Roll* expelliarmus.

Drenched in sweat Solomon got up from the ground. "Whew," he gasped.

He got his morning routine done. It was time for a bit more. He has been walking about 10 miles every day for two months.

You might be wondering what happened to the port key. And what about Apparition? Well hate to break it to you but they were too risky for a 5-year-old. I did not want my head to fly off messing with space. Instead, I figured if I walk in one direction I could find a city and through that a way to get to England. Even though it was a hassle and the risk of getting on a plane safely at this age would be tough, it was still the less risky operation.

*Slurp* *Glup*

As the journey continued he took a sip of the water he carried. There was a huge sand dune ahead. The incline was sharp, he slowly made his way to the stop.

*Bang* as he dropped to his knees

*drip* tears began to fall... "Hik,hik, hik… finally a fucking city," Solomon exclaimed.

"When did I start crying at everything, hahaha fucking 5-year-old body… hik hik," waves of emotion hit him in the face. After two long months, he finally found hope, there was a city. It was still far but he could see it. At this rate, it would take about two more days to get there.

Resting a bit, Solomon decided to walk until sunset. As the wind blew in his face he thought about his journey so far. To be frank he was quite surprised by how durable his body was. For two months he trained in the morning and at night after walking miles on end. He did not know if it was magic reinforcing his body or something else but he was barely tired. Irritated yes. But fatigue was almost nonexistent.

As the sun began to set, he made his way up another sand dune. Sitting on top of his trunk, sand whizzed by. Some smacking into his face, others hitting his arms and legs. On other nights they were painful but tonight sitting on top of his trunk the sand felt pleasant as he gazed at the city.

Thoughts raced through his mind, he knew that he had to think of plans and counter plans. His journey to England would be long and hard. It might take a few months or years to get back home.

*Sigh* It was time for dinner. Solomon stood up from the trunk, dusted the sand off his body, and stepped in.

*snap*

The trunk closed and the sound echoed through the air as it reached a bustling city…

But you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light. – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
