The start of everything

A red coloured Lamborghini slowed down in front of a large mansion. The gates of the mansion opened up, letting the car inside the mansion property. The car stopped in front of the front door of the mansion and the left door of the car opened up.

A man with long flowing grey coloured hair got out of the car. The man was more than 6 foot tall with wide shoulders and a toned body. The man wore a t-shirt and shorts. He turned around and took out a small thread and a bag from his car. He pulled his hair away from over his grey eyes and tied his long hair into a ponytail using the thread and walked forward to the mansion.

The door to the mansion opened up and a woman with similar grey hair to the man opened up the door. She had a wide smile on her face while she was welcoming the man.

The man handed the bag to the woman while also greeting her, "Hello Mom~ Where is dad?"

"Your father will be coming shortly~ Want to eat something?"

"Hmmm. Leave it. Let's wait for dad to arrive. I will freshen up, and be right back." The man informed his mother and walked past the living room into the washroom.

He washed his arms and splashed some water on his face. He dried his arms in the towel when suddenly his phone started ringing in his pockets.

He took out his pocket but immediately disconnected the moment he saw that the call was coming from his workplace.

He walked out of the washroom and sat down on one of the sofas in the living room. He switched the television which started showing the news about the recent happenings. "An A-Rank that had opened up in the Yeungnam Region and was cleared by the Knights Guild successfully. In business, the stock price of GoTech has increased by 9% and it is expected to increase further for the foreseeable future…"

The man's mother sat beside her son and asked him while keeping an eye on the television, "Is it okay for you to come today? Your company is growing right now and is in an important stage right now, won't they need their leader right now?"

"It's okay. I can take some long holidays right now. I have already given which direction they should head towards, they shouldn't have any problems. Don't think the people of GoTech are so incompetent that they can't do anything without me. I have handpicked the people, so I know very well how talented they are."

His mother smiled wryly and ruffled his hair while speaking, "How big have you grown huh?~ Sometimes I still wonder how such a man used to fit in my arms once~"

Suddenly the doorbell of the mansion rang.

"I am opening it." The man declared as he got up from the sofa. He opened up the door to a tall, old but muscular man with grey hair and beard. The old man inspected the young man with his grey eyes. The old man immediately walked ahead and hugged the young man.

"Welcome home Dad~" the young man welcomed the old man, his father, into the house.

"When did you arrive, Byeol?" The old man asked his son, Byeol.

"Just a few minutes. Quickly change into something more casual. Mom is waiting for you~"

"Yes yes." The old man handed his handbag to his son and started loosening up tie and suit while walking towards the mansion.

Suddenly Byeol noticed a man standing in the doorway. The man had slick orange hair combed backwards and a stoic face. Byeol introduced himself to the man as he noticed the man wearing a suit similar to his father.

"My name is Go Byeol. I am Mr. Gun Hee's son. And you are?"

The orange-haired man quickly bowed a little and introduced himself.

"My name is Woo Jinchul. I am the head of the Inspection Department and also Sir. Gun Hee's secretary."

"Oh! You must be the new recruit that he's always talking about. Why don't you come inside?" Byeol's mother suddenly interrupted him and invited Woo Jinchul to their house.

Jinchul hesitated a little, he didn't want to intrude in his superior's house. But the woman grabbed him by the arm and dragged him inside.

Byeol sighed a little seeing his mother's antics but didn't say anything. He followed them both to the living room where his father was already present.

"Oh Jinchul? Sit down. Want something to drink?"

"Thank you for the offer, sir. But I am perfectly fine."

"You are not at work right now. Just relax yourself~" his father said to his subordinate.

"... Thank you."

"Haha! Don't worry about it. So how is your family?"

"My sister has recently enrolled in a college. She will be studying computer sciences in her course."

"Oh? My son, Byeol, here has a tech company of his own. I think you should ask him to help your sister if she ever has a problem in her college."

"Yep~ If she is good enough I can also give her internships and a part-time job in our company"

"Uhmm. Which company are you a part of?" Jinchul nervously asked Byeol.

"Oh. It's GoTech. We have many kinds of internship programs in our company. You should come with her one day to our company to see what she would work with if she were to work in the IT Sector."

"Thank you."

"Haha! No problem about it!"

"Enough about work! Jinchul, would you want to eat here tonight?" Byeol's mother suddenly asked Jinchul who quickly denied her request.

"Sorry, but my sister is waiting for me at home. I would need to go soon."

"Oh? Stay for an hour, it's still evening right now. We can even send you some dinner for both of you."

"I would be extremely grateful to you."

"So, what did you used to do before being a Hunter?" Byeol asked Jinchul to start the conservation.

"Oh? I was studying to become a police investigator, but after I awakened I started working for the Hunter's Association.."

"He was a good guy~" Byeol declared as he brushed his teeth. His father nodded his head in agreement while he rinsed his mouth.

"Mmm-hmm. He is a good child. Has a good head and heart."

"Hmmm." Byeol rinsed his mouth and bid both his parents goodnight. He walked up the stairs to the second floor of the mansion. He opened the door to his bedroom. His bed was already prepared by the servants of the house.

He jumped into the bed and pulled the blanket over his head. Within a few seconds he fell asleep.

In a large forest filled with lush green trees and tall grass, a gate a few hundreds of metres tall. Nothing was clearly visible in the gate, except the murky glass that covered the entire gate. In front of the gate, Byeol was standing, wearing a shirt and tie and black trousers, everything form-fitted to his body.

He has been in this place many times before in his dreams. He walked forward and tried to touch the gate like all the other times. All the other times his arms stopped on the body of the gate, as if stopped by an invisible force.

But suddenly, this time the moment his finger touched the gate, the murky glass disappeared. The gate was open.
