Mystery Quest pt.2

After that I spent the rest of the day enjoying myself until it was around sundown. I planned on getting this quest over with then going to sleep. Obviously it was a mystery test, but what were the other requirements for better rewards if I get any?

I was at home and I opened the system and went to the quest named "Test". Tapping it three options were given to me. It was about the difficulty and it went as follows:

[Normal: Meeting the minimum requirements let's you get in this dungeon with its original difficulty. Rewards and other things are unknown.]

[Moderate: Allows you to get amazing rewards, but at a higher risk. This would be a balanced difficulty.]

[Hell: High difficulty with high risk, but godly rewards. This is for those people that don't give a damn about their life at all.]

(Akihito Note: Like deadass if you go with this one I made the rewards good, but your ass will be grass. Don't expect to live or go to the afterlife either. If you die lol.)

"Even the god that gave me this had to give me a warning for this one. Should I just take moderate difficulty?"

[Akihito Note: Yes. Yes you should.]

"But the rewards would be worth the risk hopefully.

[They are, but…fuck it.]

"I'm starting to get the feeling he's watching me directly." I said with a thoughtful expression.

"Well…God said it best. Fuck it." I said and hunched my shoulders as I tapped the Hell difficulty. I was pumped and ready to go, but it gave me an option to drop the quest.

My adrenaline was gone now as I clicked my tongue. I tapped the accept option and my body was was teleported somewhere else.

—Spirit Hall—

As I opened my eyes I was welcomed to possibly the most amazing place I'll ever get to see.

[Beat the Spirit Guardian to pass into the next stage]

'Spirit Guardian?' I thought. Suddenly this place started shaking violently and as the things I thought were walls opened up like a double door.

My eyes went wide as I looked at the huge being that walked out of it.

He could step on me and be done with it. It was impossible for me to beat this thing. It was as tall is a mountain. Well it was that tall before it shrunk down to my size.

His whole vibe sent chills down my body and I was unconsciously shaking up. It didn't look like it had eye, but I can tell it's looking me right in the eye.

"We were extremely far away from each other as I looked him down. Chances are this thing can beat the fuck out of me if it felt like it, so I might as well go all out from the very start." I muttered.

[3…2…1…GO!!]

The fight started and I was about to use [Empower] when out of nowhere the spirit appeared in front of me with a punch already headed towards my chest.

Quickly I blocked as the sound if my arms breaking was clear. My body blasted off into the walls as time seemed to slow down. I tasted blood in my mouth as I coughed it up.

'Damn. I'm really about to die.' My body slumped to the ground as I saw my HP.

[HP: 450/3305]

Suddenly it appeared in front if me again, but this time it was about to kick me in the face.

'Ah shit.' I thought as I closed my eyes. In the next moment I felt a breeze run across my body and I felt my arms in chains while my legs were being shackled down.

I opened my eyes as a system message appeared in front if me.

[You have failed to complete your daily mission and now must pay the penalty]

"Huh? Penalty!? I'll die in this condition!!" I said and immediately I went to the shop.

'Instant Recovery.' I thought as 1 million gold was took from me. Afterwards I felt my whole body being restored to perfection.

I finally got a good look of my surroundings and saw that I was on some mountain where the bottom couldn't be seen. The winds were strong as I felt my body almost being dragged along with it.

The clouds were dark as white lightning was flashing through them. It was also raining extremely hard along with how cold it is, the fact that he was shirtless didn't help at all.

*KABOOOOOOOM*

A huge lightning bolt smashed into my body. The pain was indescribable as my body went limp.

*KABOOOOOOOM*

Another bolt of lightning struck me as my body started to feel like the skin was being peeled off.

—5 hours later—

Strike after strike after strike, my body started to loose feeling as it had been completely stripped down to bones with a bit of meat on it.

It took so long mainly because the bolts were being charged and then shot at me. My health was stuck at 1 so I couldn't die, but finally it was over. Ten strikes of divine lightning.

"The fuck." I said.

"…Accept!!" I said and my body was completely ripped to shreds. It felt like someone threw me into the sun, but a moment later I felt a cooling sensation. Like drinking cold water and feeling it go through your body.

[(passive)Gods Body: Gives the user a body made 50% out of magic. Along with mana enhancements, all physics capabilities skyrocket. +50 in all stats.

[Gods Bolt: This skill allows the user to summon a lightning bolt from the heavens to destroy its target.]

Cost: 1000MP/use

Cool down: 5 hours

[Lightning Manipulation: The user can manipulate lightning. Proficiency and master will increase as the skill is leveled up.]

"What the hell." I said in shock. I was about to call on my status, but before I could do anything I was right back inside that hall. The spirit was there as well, as it stood motionless in the middle of the room.

This time I didn't wait on anything as I used [Empower], [Dash], [Dominance], and took out my dagger. I appeared in front of it and sent a slash at its neck.

I used [Electric Edge] as my blade was covered in blue lightning. I saw as he flashed back, but he was missing his right hand.

"You can still react this type of speed? What a monster." I said with a smile.

(Third POV)

Shooting forward, Sung Ming-yoo appeared in front if him again, but this time he wasn't holding the dagger. He sent a straight punch towards the spirits head as it narrowly dodged.

The air pressure from the punch traveled to the wall, blasting a whole into it. The spirit grabbed Ming-yoo by the shoulders as he was about to knee him in the stomach, but he wasn't fast enough as he was punched in the stomach.

It slid back a few feet as it was stunned for a second, but Ming-yoo took advantage of that and launched his dagger at it while it was covered in lightning.

The spirit dodged it, but Ming-yoo was right in its face and uppercut the spirit into the air. Jumping back Ming-yoo swiped his hand down like he was controlling something to fall, but seconds later a gigantic white lightning bolt smashed into the spirit hall and hit the Spirit Guardian.

After that attack Ming-yoo immediately drank a full mana potion and restored his mana. The skill took a huge amount of mana with every use and at best he can maybe do three or four before being completed out of mana.

[Spirit Guardian has been slain.]

Seeing that message he smiled with a sigh as he plopped to the ground.

"I was definitely lucky with that shit. God damn." He said as he laid down on his back. He looked over and saw some items that were dropped, so he went to see what it was. A pouch of 3mill gold, Spirit Ring, and a Spirit Core.

Spirit Ring: Gives the user an infinite storage.

"Useless." He said and immediately sold it to the shop which gave him 1 billion gold for it.

Spirit Core: Break the core to gain the skill inside.

Without hesitation I broke it and a message showed up in front if me.

[Hurricane: The user can create hurricanes out if nowhere and anywhere. Attributes can be added to this skill by mixing with another skill.]

Cost: 500 MP/use

[Congratulations. You you have met all of the conditions to to gain all of the rewards of the dungeon.]

'Ain't this a lot. It wasn't even that hard to beat him.' He thought.

[Yeah, cuz you got dropped after one attack and completed a hidden quest from the penalty. Basically you were too weak and too lucky to have a real fight.]

A message from the systems creator was read out as the room went quiet. Ming-yoo breathed out as he gained a dead look in his eyes.

"From this point on strength is my main and only priority. Anything in the way of that gets destroyed." He said with a neutral tone.

The motivation to become stronger only gave him more of a reason to see if him and Jin-woo were the same so he could try to level up on both sides. Obviously he didn't think Jin-woo was stupid and he can tell that all he wants is power as well.

The only way to make an agreement is if they shared their dungeons. Would that even be possible and will Jin-woo even want to talk after knowing someone knows his secret or would he go straight for a kill?

These were the questions he asked himself in the silence of the spirit hall.

"Well that's nice." As he said that his body glowed a bright light as he was teleported back in to his room.
