Scrolling through social media on his phone while waiting, Perseus only saw good articles about him being published. But he wasn't surprised since the Scavenger Guild controlled almost all major media, hence only good articles were published, and any bad ones were instantly removed. "You can rest a little longer. Shall I tell them to wait?"

Perseus got up from the luxury sofa. He had enough of all the flattery and didn't want to waste any more time on them. Without waiting for Laura's answer, Perseus headed to the helicopter pad.

Not long after, the helicopter took off and Perseus was finally left alone for the first time in hours.

Closing the Status screen, Perseus sighed again. His vitality has been going down steadily over the years, and even with the countless elixirs he ingested, nothing seemed to be working. His only hope now was for him to become a demon.

As a demon, he would be immortal, and he would be able to enjoy the boosts from the demon slayer mark without worrying about dying before 25.

Suddenly, he remembered about Demon King Baran. As the King of Demons, surely by drinking his blood or eating his heart, Perseus would be able to turn into a demon. But he was located in the Demon Castle and Perseus had no way of entering.

'Should I just kill Sung Jin-Woo and take his system?'

Perseus was weighing the pros and cons of that option. According to the timeline, Sung Jin-Woo had just received the system and was currently in the hospital after the Double Dungeon Incident. By killing him the system would most likely choose another player, and would most likely be chosen.

But what if the system doesn't? That would mean that the Demon Castle would be completely unreachable to Perseus, and unless he found some elixir that could grant him immortality, it was almost certain that Perseus would die.

In the end, Perseus didn't dare to take that risk. After all, Sung Jin-woo was personally chosen by the architect and Ashborn to be his new vessel. Instead, Perseus decided to sneak into the Demon Castle.

When Sung Jin-woo first entered the Demon Castle, it was after he killed Hwang Dongsoo's older brother and formed a party with Yoo Jinhoo. According to Perseus' estimates, Sung Jin-woo would only enter the Demon Castle 3 months from now.

Perseus would just wait at the Daesung Tower in The Songpa District, and when Sung Jin-Woo opens the instant dungeon, he would immediately rush in. At that time, Sung Jin-woo would barely be above level 20 and he would have no chance of stopping him. Besides, Perseus couldn't afford to wait any longer. Feeling death so close to him was starting to affect him negatively.

"Young master, we've arrived at the Scavenger Guild already. Let's go, your father is waiting for you." a familiar voice broke him out of his stupor.

Nodding his head, Perseus stepped out of the helicopter and followed Laura back to his father's office. He could almost feel Kamish's Wrath in his grasp.
