Project APOLLO

Project APOLLO a prototype concept and research project headed by ORΛCLE Technologies in partnership with the South Korean Army and Korean Hunters Association aimed to miniaturize medical sensors, test if such device could work in a dungeon, and be able to detect vitals frequently and reliably.

Development ——————

The goal of the project was to enable 24/7 telemetry about the wearer's status and location. Having a detailed view about a person's health and condition and create a device that is light, small and easy to carry.

Mark 5 is the current iteration of the prototype concept. Its shape and size is about that of a modern smartwatch with no screen. The next generation Mark 6 is currently planned to add features from the ORΛCLE Technologies's Nexus® Xross 3, its latest 3rd generation smartwatch.

Features Set ——————

Mark 5 can currently last up to 1 week of active use.

It can check primary vitals signs such as heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and blood pressure. It can also read oxygen saturation and do blood tests. It could also get height and weight even body composition via Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis with very small margin of error.

If the wearer lost signal or is in critical condition it can notify emergency contacts.

Future Use——————

The South Korean Army plans to use the project in training new recruits, allowing it's soldiers to be in perfect shape. Collecting soldier's physiology data has been one of its priorities to perfect it's training courses allowing it to be more effective. It is also planned to be deployed in operations in Project WATCH together with their IVAS Program.

The Korean Hunters Association plans it to deploy on all Hunters registered in conjunction with its official phone. Requiring the Hunters Association to be registered as an emergency contact in the device. They have started to build a communication infrastructure to quickly handle the load for future mass deployment

ORΛCLE Technologies plans to release series of consumer versions through their consumer personal computing division Nexus Computing.

"Oh… it worked greatly… thankfully…" Jin-hwan replied relieved that Project APOLLO worked.

"So we'll be moving to Mark 6 then?" Jin-chul asked happily.

"After the final analysis of Mark 5 then we'll move forward." Jin-hwan nodded.

"I can't wait for the project to be completed. It can really help us."

"Of course it will. It's my company's product after all." Jin-hwan laughed.

Jin-hwan then looked at the gate and sighed. Glancing at Jin-woo, still asleep. Looking at other hunters still recuperating.

"But still, many work needs to be done. It seems like it can only work on one dungeon, two seems to be a no go." Jin-hwan thought out loud.

"I'm sure you can fix it." Jin-chul consoled.

"Hey, can you estimate when we'll finish this project?"

"I would say about 3 more months. But still there's still lead time for mass production which will be another pain… *groan* So…." Jin-hwan started calculating in his head.

"Please bear another year." He bowed acting sympathetically.

"Come on… can't you… make it faster?" Jin-chul groaned.

Jin-hwan immediately thought of something. He turned to Jin-chul with a mischievous face.

"I can… I just need more of something." Jin-hwan started to invade Jin-chul's personal space.

"What is it?"

Jin-hwan formed a symbol on his right hand, fingers forming that resembles that of a coin. His left hand moving, signaling to give him something.

"Money." He mouthed.

"Fuck you. Why don't you ask the military, you know that we're already tight on budget."

"I know… and I'm gonna milk you dry." Jin-hwan whispered showing a wicked smile. Jin-chul felt cold breath reach his neck. He can't help but shiver uncontrollably.

Seeing Jin-chul's reaction a smirk appeared on Jin-hwan face pleased with himself. Experiment success! Embedding breath with mana and fear infliction.

[«Evil Smile» Inflict fear to all foes.]

"whathefuck…" Jin-chul spoked clearly shaken. He felt like he met the reaper itself.

"Wake up." Jin-hwan shook Jin-chul trying to let him out of his trance.

Seeing Jin-chul still not responding. Looks like he got too overboard. But he can't stop thinking how overpowered it is… imagine the many ways he could use to his advantage.

Looking at Jin-chul, Jin-hwan couldn't help but notice Jin-chul with his shaking legs with his bladder wanting to burst in fear. He immediately whispered.

"«BIA PTOSI»"

"Oh yes? Oh! Jin-hwan where were we?" Jin-chul immediately responded away from his stupor.

"Project APOLLO."

"Oh yeah, chairman wanted to relay to you that we'll be pre-ordering more units."

''I think we can handle that. Now… can you fight with the military."

"Come on now… I'm your best bud. Can't you do a little favor?"

"Money." Jin-hwan said with a very wide smile.

Jin-chul immediately looked down.

Glancing at the gate Jin-hwan said: "Heh. I'm joking. Sure, we'll allocate more for Hunters especially after this incident."

"Thank you." Jin-chul gave a sincere thanks.

Jin-hwan's phone was ringing. He grabbed his phone and notice an incoming call from his Personal Assistant.

"That's my signal. We'll have a formal meeting next time, Shin will tell you the time." The young CEO replied as he proceeded to walk to his car.

"Are you heading to the port gate?"

"Yeah, lots of stuff to do… OH say my hello to Gunhee-nim for me!" Jin-hwan shouted as he start entering the car.

Upon closing the car door. The screens and lights brighten up. Cabin speakers became lively as they play a little chime.

[Welcome sir.]

[You currently have an incoming call with "Park Shin - EPA".]

"Answer it." Jin-hwan said as he fixed his rear view mirror.

["Master Jin-hwan, the MTF is ready."]

Jin-chul's video feed is showed in the car's dashboard .

Jin-hwan groaned after hearing his honorific. He can't believe the guy didn't still go over his phase.

"Good. I'm heading there. Did you receive the images I sent you?"

["Yes Master."]

"I want you to conduct an investigation about the dungeon. Make the cubes highly confidential. I'll give you the cubes when I arrive there bring it to my lab."

["Yes sir, i'll contact the EYE immediately."]

The call then ended. The car's dashboard immediately turned to normal, displaying the car's meters.

He then focus on the road and pressed the pedal and proceeded to accelerate.

[Destination sir?]

'Lots to do…'

He wave his hand at the passenger seat to his right the leather bag full of magic cubes appeared.

"ORΛCLE Global Port"

Remembering the mana's scaredness earlier. He had one simple thought.

'What are you…?'

As he was arriving at the seaport, he could see huge ships from a distance circling around the perimeter waiting for the huge gate at the port to close.

Jin-hwan cannot stop shaking his head as he can't imagine the hours and millions of money wasted.

The sooner he'll finish this the less damage it can make.

Parking the car, he went out to see someone approaching him. A young man in his twenties with glasses and slicked-back hair wearing a full set of butler attire.

Park Shin, his executive personal assistant or as he love to call himself Mr. Jin-hwan's butler. Shin really has a butler fetish. Probably from watching too much anime…

Jin-hwan had him after saving Shin in a A-ranked dungeon. After saving him Shin swore to his entire life to serve Jin-hwan.

A smile appear on his face as he can't help but remember the things his eccentric butler did. To the endangerment of people around him in hopes on entertaining Jin-hwan.

"Master, the strike team is ready for your commands." Shin replied solemnly with his hand on his chest.

"Let them guard the gate. I'll go solo." Jin-hwan said as he remove his suit jacket, revealing a formal vest and muscles that shows through it.

"I'll inform them." Shin nodded as he grabbed Jin-hwan's suit jacket.

"The cubes is in the car." He said while heading to the port.
