Chapter 77: Challenging the Boss

Cheol Su stood his ground, a smirk playing across his face as he looked up at the looming figure of Griorg.

"Oh, is that right?" he taunted, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I was hoping you'd say something like that. I was getting bored standing here, waiting for you to make your move."

Griorg's eyes narrowed, the shadows around him seeming to deepen. "Do not underestimate me, human," Griorg snarled, his voice low and menacing. "I have faced many challengers before you, and I have slain them all. You will be no different."

Cheol Su shrugged, a cocky grin spreading across his face.

"Maybe so," he said, his voice light and casual. "But I'm not just any challenger. I'm Cheol Su, An Omini class evolver. And I'm here to send you straight to hell." With a roar, Griorg lunged forward, his massive frame moving with surprising speed. But Cheol Su was faster, his daggers flashing in the darkness as he danced out of the way, his movements precise and deadly.

"You think you can evade me, human?" Griorg snarled, his voice thick with rage. "You are but a child, a fool who has wandered into a world he does not understand."

Cheol Su laughed, his eyes gleaming with amusement. Griorg swung his massive fist, the air around him crackling with dark energy.

Cheol Su dodged, his body moving like a blur of shadow and light.

"Is that the best you can do?" he taunted, his voice laced with mockery. "I've faced tougher opponents in the Tower, and they didn't last half as long as you have."

Griorg let out a bellow of rage, his eyes glowing with hatred. With a sudden burst of speed, Griorg closed the distance between them, his fists hammering down on Cheol Su like a pair of deadly sledgehammers.

But Cheol Su was ready. With a twist of his body, he darted to the side, his daggers flashing in a blur of motion.

Griorg roared, his fists striking the ground where Cheol Su had stood mere moments before.

"Is that all you've got?" Cheol Su laughed, his voice ringing with triumph. "This human dares to mock me?" Griorg bellowed, his form blurring as he moved with the speed of a typhoon. "I will crush him like the insect he is!"

The entire chamber trembled, the walls cracking with the force of Griorg's rage.

"Cheol Su!" Cyprus shouted, its voice urgent and strained. "You must be serious! This creature is not like the others!" With a roar, Cheol Su lunged forward, his movements a blur as he activated Thief Steps. His blades, the Toxic Wolf Daggers, flashed in the darkness, their deadly edges slicing through the air like lightning.

The sound of steel on flesh echoed through the chamber, and Griorg howled in pain as Cheol Su's daggers bit into his flesh.

But the wounds were shallow, the Boss's skin far tougher than Cheol Su had anticipated.

"Is that all you've got?" Griorg laughed, his voice thick with amusement. Cheol Su's expression shifted from confidence to shock, and then to fear.

"This is not possible," he muttered, his eyes darting around the chamber, searching for an escape route.

But there was no escape. Griorg was everywhere, his massive form filling the chamber like a malevolent cloud.

"Shadow Steps," Cheol Su whispered, his body vanishing into the darkness. "Elemental Grave of Swords!" In an instant, the air in the chamber shifted, a gust of cold wind howling through the darkness, the floor beneath them crackling with electricity, and the torches flickering with the heat of the inferno.

Cheol Su's form reappeared, his body crackling with energy.

"Lightning Strike!" he shouted, his daggers dancing through the air, the electricity arcing around them like tendrils of lightning.

The blades sliced into Griorg's flesh, the Boss screaming in pain. But Griorg was not defeated. With a roar of rage, he lunged forward, his massive fist slamming into Cheol Su's chest, knocking the warrior to the ground.

Cheol Su coughed, blood bubbling from his lips.

"Ice Shards!" he snarled, his daggers flashing in the darkness, the shards of ice crackling with power.

But even as the ice pierced Griorg's flesh, the Boss seemed unfazed, his eyes gleaming with malevolence. With a howl of anger, Griorg stepped forward, his massive form blotting out the light, his dark energy forming a swirling vortex around him.

"You think to defeat me?" he sneered. "I am the Soul Eater, the hybrid Underworld Demon! You will be but a footnote in my glorious reign!"

Cheol Su staggered to his feet, his body battered and bruised. But he did not falter.
