Unleashing The Gargoyles

Determination and will shine brightly in the eyes of Treyah Tuldani. The first sight has just been granted all the divine power of the council. Allowing him complete control over church's jurisdiction.

His tree-like body extends in the rooms, his feet transform into roots. Digging themselves into the ground, quickly extending over the entire city. The normal red light that you can see within him is even brighter and more fervent than usual.

"Creations of stone, defenders of Lucille's Light! Abandon your stationary forms and fight those who oppose us!" Treyah Tuldani yells out in an inspired tone. The channeled divine energy within him shines even brighter.

Then all fall silent as the light within him dims once more. Treyah Tuldani looks outside towards the invaded Lucille's Light.

Another army has joined the fray. The gargoyles, the stone statues on the outer walls, and in the arena district, have woken up. They make no roaring sounds, the only sound they create is the sound of their battles.

"At least there will be some balance now." Treyah Tuldani says in once more somber tone.

"What is destroyed can be rebuilt." Hudan replies to Treyah's somber tone.

"What inspired you to make them in the first place?" Botwolf asks towards Hudan, not hiding his disdain for the figure.

"When you've lived as long as I have, then you know the advantage of having numbers."

"Botwolf, Hudan, Mosk." The first sight calls the attention of the 3 remaining council members.

"You may do what you wish. I will be here to defend the church if any of you want to leave. Now's the moment." Treyah Tuldani says in a calm and serious tone.

"This battle will only end when we cut off the snake's head. I will stay with you." Botwolf replies dutifully.

"I will also stay, however I don't have the same fighting capabilities as you guys do. I will be keeping myself hidden, waiting for the opportune moment."Mosk quickly answers after Botwolf's reply. Both sights have made up their mind.

"What about you, Hudan?" Botwolf asks, a gnarl escaping his lips.

Hudan Hakel seems distracted, his posture and general attitude feel strange and agitated.

"My apologies, something has come up it sees. However, do not fret. I'll be sure to return." He says in his normal voice, quickly dispersing the agitating attitude from before.

"I cannot ask for more. Go, and good luck." Treyah Tuldani says towards the leaving sight.

Hudan Hakel enhanced by some form of magic quickly moves out of the church, rushing in the direction of the abandoned district.

"Cast your enhancement spells and chose your positions. She's bound to arrive here soon." The first sight calls out towards the remaining two. Beginning their preparation for the battle against Anima.

[Ashmodai's tale, post departure with Ergillaz]

Ashmodai the gambling devil departed from the tavern. Having received a new task from Ergillaz, he decides to move towards the abandoned district.

'Information about the church and specifically Hudan Hakel. If Ergillaz trusts Treyah, then there will be nothing of note to be found in the church itself. Rather, I've conversed with some escapees of his experiments before and if what I recall is correct than his personal laboratory is somewhere within that district. However, it must be quite skillfully hidden if Volathriis hasn't taken notice, or perhaps he's in on it.' Ashmodai tries to figure out a logical conclusion based on what he knows.

Entering the abandoned district, he quickly casts some illusionary magic upon himself, making him look like a chimera crossbreed between a devil and spider. He stops at the first intersection of terribly managed streets and simply throws a die. It lands on the number 5, Ashmodai picks up the dice and turns left. At each intersection he rolls the dice, turning right when the dice shows the number 1 to 3, and he turns left when the dice shows the number 4 to 6

This is quite the unusual sight in the abandoned district, especially when done looking like a chimera. The passersby look at him suspiciously, but this does not last long.

The sound of a large amount of people rushing through the streets follow. Lava stone orcs and wraiths of large numbers rush out of the center of the abandoned district. Ashmodai with his keen senses quickly stopped rolling his dice and began to act as a normal chimera would, less intelligent and more beastlike. Luckily enough, the orcs and wraiths rush past him, paying him no heed.

'It seems my time limit has shortened drastically.' Ashmodai thinks to himself, seeing the rushing army dash past him.

For another 15 minutes, his search continues. Using the same trick, this time far more secretly, as he does not trust the situation around him. Unfortunately, 2 eyes have been focused on him for the last few minutes. Ashmodai's keen senses tell him that this hidden opponent is surprisingly skilled in the matter of stealth.

"Show yourself, I usually love a game, but I'm in a hurry at the moment." Ashmodai says cheekily, the magic shimmering around his illusioned hands showing a sense of impatience.

"Wait, wait, don't cast! I'm coming out!" a familiar shrill voice yells out.

From around the corner, a small imp walks out. Ashmodai quickly recognizes the individual as Randyl.

"Did you follow me, here?" Ashmodai asks confused.

"I have, literally no idea, who you are." Randyl replies in a shaking tone.

"What?"

"What."

Randyl copies the still under an illusion, Ashmodai. Ashmodai quickly notices the issue and decides to properly explain.

"Randyl, it's me, Ashmodai."

"Who?"

"What do you mean, who? Ashmodai!"

"No idea who that is. Do you have a description, perhaps, great sir?" Randyl asks, his shaking legs, shaking even harder after Ashmodai began to yell.

"Hot devil, likes to gamble, elegant and refined without losing his cool and very competent." Ashmodai describes himself with a large amount of bias.

"No idea."

"You little shit."

"Wait… A gambling devil. I do know one, I think, sir!" Randyl yells, excited by the fact that he can answer the person who threatened hims his question.

"Just for the sake of it, describe him for me in a few words."

"Alcoholic, irresponsible, average looking and definitely going through a second midlife crisis." The imp says, clearly believing everything he just said.

"Did you not hear the part, where I said that I was him?"

"That can't be, you don't look like him at all."

Ashmodai looks around and notices that no one else is watching. He drops the illusionary magic, causing Randyl to gasp loudly.

"When did you get here?"

"You're messing with me, right?"

"How can I be messing with you? You just appeared."

"No, you don't get it, I was that spider chimera."

"But you look nothing alike?"

"…"
