Isabelle made it back to the shop exhausted and hurt. She didn't realize how heavy that desk really was. It must have weighed a ton, but it didn't hurt as much as her heart did. She spent the last four months wondering if Liz was going to be okay, and the last month trying to find a lead that would lead to her whereabouts. She even broke into a business office that belonged to one of the three alpha's that owned the town, but she came up empty handed.
She thought she found something when she found that blue folder. It was the same color, the same simple blue design, the same smell as the one that had been left in that house. Yet when she opened it there was nothing, there was not a single sheet of paper. Someone must have taken them out, or maybe they were stolen, and the folder put back to buy themselves time before Cole or one of the others round out.
The thought of what the three alpha's would do to the thief who stole from them pleased her. What were they capable of, and why did she honestly care?
Cole was in a black suit she knew he was tall and buff by the pictures, but in real life she didn't believe she ever saw someone with so much muscle, so buff. She imagined what he would look like standing next to her. What it would feel like to wrap her arms around his, and was his touch rough or soft? She was hoping for rough. His hair was black and combed over. He had a sharp jawline, and his eyes they were green but dark. Everything about this man excited her, but he was dangerous. All alpha's were, they were controlling, possessive, abusive. The list goes on, she couldn't get attached not to him. Everything about him screamed danger, everything in her told her to be very afraid.
Then there was Dylan, he was dressed in a dark navy suit. He smilef at her lightly, and turning away still smiling. It set her off, how could a smile do that to someone especially her? It caused her to stare at him, he had medium length hair that was spiked, she wanted to run her hands through it as he touched every part of her body that he was staring at.
After her longish life of being an omega she learned a few tips and tricks, don't trust alpha's. Two even if everything in your body screams against you, the primal nature tells you that you need them. That you want them, and so much as a taste would almost be impossible to ignore, or fight against one. Another thing was heat, an omegas heat was hard. It made your body feel as if it was on fire, and the only thing to fully fix it was the knott of an alpha. Most omega's would find themselves an alpha just to knott them at a young age. Not fully realizing that then the alpha laid claim on them, that most never got away.
If you were smart you took sedatives, it didn't make the pain stop, but it did take a lot of it away. Till it felt almost like a really bad cramp after a period almost, there was still a little more kick to it. Most of this information she learned was from a older wiser omega, who taught her many things. The thing she had to learn on her own was, after many years of going through heat alone, or pushing it off made each one worse. It was like stopping someone from sneezing over, and over. When you finally sneeze it feels like your eyes are going to pop out.
So being around alpha's it made her fidget, and squirm. She ran from most trying not to think about them, but she stayed longer here, and it costed her. As she was icing her foot, she thought of them, and how she almost lost control. Almost gave herself over to them if that's what they wanted. She didn't want them, she could fight it. Then an even bigger thought popped into her head, if that was the feel around two alpha's. What would it feel like meet all three in one room? The idea mak her wet, and it angered her.
Then sweet Liz and Jane come to her mind, and she was able to get a grip. She couldn't give up, she couldn't give in. She had to be there for them, and if she let those alpha's in, then the people she was trying to save really wouldn't believe how cruel the world was. How they had to protect themselves by avoiding all alpha's
Isabelle got dressed back into her normal cloths and hid her thief set in the book store. The reason it was here is because, if someone broke into her house and found it they would kill anyone who lived there to make sure. If they found it here they could trace it down to only her. Yes she wanted to survive, but she wanted to help her friends more. She would die to help to save them. She was setting up the poor excuse of an alarm, ready to shut lights off when a man walked in.
"Sir I'm sorry we are closed." Isabelle froze, she could smell him. He was an alpha, there was a gun in the store behind the register, but she was by one of the shelves. There was no way she was going to make it over there, before he figured out what she was doing.
"Sorry but I just came in to get a book. My little brother loves this place, I wanted to get him a new book."
His face looked so innocent, and sweet. The way he talked about his brother, wow he was brother of the year wasn't he? That didn't mean Isabelle trusted him. Alpha's could lie, and when they did they were pretty good at it. So she couldn't take anything for granted.
"Oh what type of book does he like to read?" Trying to sound like she was buying his words.
"Well he's not very old so it has to be a kids book, but I don't really know what he likes could you help me?"
Nodding her head, she walked over while watching him to a shelf, and grabbed a book placing it into his hands. They were warm, and strong. "The giving tree, it's a classic." She said while looking up into his eyes. This is the third time today she had seen such a beautiful man.
"Jack Miller."
"What?" Isabelle was ringing him out at the register while he said this, but what did it mean?
"Jack Miller is my name." Seeing the confused look on her face he lightly smiled.
She wanted to kick herself, of course it was Jack. Jack Miller, there was something familiar about that name. She put the book in a bag and handed it to Jack. "Well have a great night Jack. I hope your brother enjoys the book." He looked kind of defeated why?
"No name, and I thought I was doing well..."
Isabelle laughed awkwardly, she didn't give her name out to many people less to strangers, and never to alpha's. Not if she could help it.
"Who am I suppose to tell helped me in picking this book if I don't have your name?"
She thought for a moment, did this pickup line really work?
"You know he will ask." Jack laughed saying this, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
She remembered when the little omega's would come over to play at her house. They belonged to friends of hers, and they always asked questions like that. They would be walking down the street trying to say hi to everyone, asking who they were.
"Isabelle, Isabelle Jade. " She finally let go of the book bag that was in her had and his.
"Nice to meet you Isabelle Jade." He smiled as he walked out.
Locking up she couldn't help but think of their conversation. He talked so smoothly, but something seemed really wrong. Was it just her being paranoid? Maybe he really did have a brother, who was wanting a book, and would have ask about her? So she let it slide, she had to many other things to worry about.
She got outside of the bookstore, and locked it up. Walking down the streets there wasn't a lot of lights in the area, which made kidnapping pretty easy. So when a hand went around her, she was ready. She lifted her foot up, and kicked the strangers knee, and he growled. She was the last person this random guy wanted to mess with.
He was strong, and gripped her hair, yanking it down. She yelped, as she tried to claw herself away from him. She punched him, and for a second he let go. She wasn't about to stick around, she took off, but she was slower than normal sense she kicked the desk.
He caught up to her in no time, and a hand went around her throat. He wasn't playing anymore. With the other hand he fought her arms to her side, and pulled out a rag. Shit it had chloroform on it. Right as she noticed the smell, she went to put her arms back up, but it was to late he was faster. The rag went around her nose, and her mouth. Is this how Liz felt, did she fight it? Isabelle fought hard thrashing around, but the man only held her tighter.
"Shhhh don't fight it, it won't do you any good, just let go."
It wasn't until she heard his voice that she became really afraid, it was Jack's voice. She was right, he was bad news. Like hell she was going to listen to him, instead she fought harder as the tears rolled down her face. All she could think about was Jane left alone in the house. It was the only thought, until his next words.
"I saw you talking with the three alpha's, they must like you. How much do you think they will pay?"
She could tell he had a smirk on his face. These words freaked her out, but she was just about out of energy. The final thoughts she had were not of Jane, but of Cole and Dylan coming to her rescue. What a stupid girl, and she passed out.
