"What do you mean by Lilly Rose driving off with one of my cars?" 

Matthew seemed to lose the ability to understand a simple sentence with the throbbing headache that had been making things more difficult to handle or maybe it was because the image of his wife's hurt and betrayed face did not leave the back of his mind. 

He wanted to see his wife, to explain everything to her despite not knowing exactly what was happening. He just wanted to remove the pain that was etched on her beautiful face. 

When he returned to the main house from Pete's quarter, she found Rosa crying. One of the maids that was with her was silently panicking because she had no idea what to do with Rosa.
