RUNNN! And Trapping And Subduing The Beast

"AHHHHHHH!" I screamed at the top of my lungs while running away from the man devouring plant that is currently chasing me, Ignis and Lunaris. And better yet, why am I still talking to myself and narrating my entire life while it's almost ending?!?!?

With the Devouring Plant getting closer to me each and every second I decided to take a tricky route to get back to the camp. The reason why I called it a tricky route was because in that route there we're all types of obstacles like extremely rocky areas which made it so that you need to either climb the rocks to get past them or run past them, while other areas contained things like abandoned land mines, geysers, acid lakes and many more dangerous types of areas in this route which didn't make it just difficult, it made it almost impossible to not lose a body part or something!

But never the less I took that route since if I would take the one that we used earlier then it would easily be able to either catch up to me or catch me with it's vines, both ways in that route would end up with me being dead so the difficult route was the only choice that I truly had if I don't want to die, and in my personal opinion losing a body part would be a LOT better than dying and I'm not a cat that has nine lives I'm a human that only has one life!

When I made the turn to go into the obstacle course like route I already knew that turning back now wouldn't be possible, but it was also worth it. So without even thinking about it twice I started running as fast as I could while putting my trust in both my instincts and my reaction speed, since right now if I hesitated for even a second I would die before I would even have a chance to turn back and run to the other way.

After running for quite a while and getting past multiple dangerous areas I finally got to the one area that I was actually looking forward to getting to since I knew that in this one I had a chance to both trap it and if I'm lucky enough, maybe even defeat it a be able to butcher it and harvest it's valuable parts and use them.

The area that we we're in was one of the rocky areas in this route and since the Devouring plant started getting tired, it's pace also got slower then it was before so trapping it would be easier than it would have if i tried to trap it at the start of the route.

I then ran up one of the rocks and when I got to the top of the rock I then proceeded to do a killer backflip and throw one of the throwable projectiles that I made at the camp a while ago. The reason that I made them should be quite obvious by now but i'll still explain just in case, I made them in case I got into a danger that engaging into direct combat would be too dangerous for me. And knowing that it was my only chance to throw it at the Devouring Plant I tried my best to aim for when it opened its mouth since the inside of it's mouth is it's famoulsy known weakness.

The moment that the projectile was thrown it started to feel like an eternity since if I missed or even made the slightest mistake in my throw, my death would have practically be confirmed.

Luckily for me the projectile got into the Devouring Plant's mouth and exploded a few milliesecond after it got into its mouth which made it fall on the ground as hard as it could have possibly hit it.

But sadly it still managed to get up of course I was still fully prepared for this outcome since that it's heavily injured it was a lot slower which was basically one of the main reasons that it was so dangerous. "Ignis, Lunaris use sticky thread to trap it!" I commanded my two soul pets knowing that the two of them would be able to delay it's movement for enough time for me to take out another projectile from my backpack and throw it at the Devouring plant directly killing it on impact.
