(A/N: This chapter will be in the 3rd person. Why? Because I said so. I think it'll flow better but tell me if you hate it.)

"Are you sure that's who Bumi meant?" a skeptical looking Sokka asked Aang

"Yes, she's even the girl from my vision back in the swamp," Aang confirmed.

The announcer declared the Blind Bandit the champion

"There you have it, folks, your champion successfully defended her title. If there are any challengers out in the crowd who are unsatisfied with the result feel free to come up and challenge her. If you can manage to knock her down or get her out of bounds you'll receive a generous reward." He said before showcasing a large bag full of coins.

The 12-year old monk however wasn't paying attention to the reward he was inching closer to try and grab the little girl's attention. The announcer having spotted him mistook him as a volunteer.

"A challenger I see!" He remarks

"Ah, no actually I just came to-

"Kick her butt Aang, avenge the Boulder!" Came from a very enthused Sokka

"Be careful out there, Aang" sounded out an equal parts concerned Katara. At least it wasn't a speech about hope

"You're my opponent I'm not sure the audience would like to see to little girls fight," she remarks sassily

"No! I didn't come to fight I was wondering if you would be my-

Before he could go on the petite child stomped her right foot on the ground creating a shockwave that was followed by a stream of jagged rocks popping out of the ground forming a trail towards Aang who gently floated over them.

"Where are you?" Sounded out the girl 'there you are' she thought as soon as Aang's feet touched the ground

Repeating the process only this time when she stomped a small boulder about half the size of her popped out of the ground which she proceeded to spin kick toward Aang, Aang once again dodging this time by airbending his body under the rock.

Having been ignored twice Aang was finally frustrated he yelled out "WILL YOU JUST LISTEN TO ME!" he air bent a gust of wind that completely knocked her off her feet and even out of the arena.

"Sweet!" vocalized an ecstatic Sokka as he took the large bag out of the announcer's hand, who looked gobsmacked.

Aang followed after the girl who was storming out after losing.

"Hey wait I want to talk to you!"

"Leave me alone she then opened up a tunnel in the solid cement wall and closed it after walking through it completely blowing Aang off.

"It doesn't matter Aang let's look for another teacher," says Katara trying to comfort him when she saw their discussion didn't go well.

"No, it has to be her" He stubbornly refused.

"*Sigh* Fine let's go ask around and try and reach out to her" and so they did they asked around for hours but no one seemed to know her identity. Eventually, they were lead back to the two boys Katara tortu- I mean interrogated

After one more interrogation, they pointed us towards the Bei Fong family since that's the family with the seal of the flying boar who Aang saw in his spooky swamp vision.

The Gaang trespassed into the family's territory to try and find the girl until they eventually did. Out in a huge courtyard/garden they stumbled upon the Blind Bandit only she was dressed much more regally in pristine fancy clothes.

"What are you doing here twinkle toes are you trying to get caught by the guards or something" spoke out the girl

"I've been trying to tell you I'm the avatar I need an earth-bending teacher to save the world from the fire nation! Also, how did you know it was me?"

"I don't care, find someone else"

"Didn't you hear what I said-

"I said I don't care GUARDS!"

The crew scrambles out of sight before a bunch of heft guards come into view questioning the girl

'This isn't getting us nowhere maybe I should point my points in Charisma and try and convince her? No, she's dead set on not helping so that wouldn't help and I don't want to waste my precious points.' Sokka thought

"Aang she doesn't seem like she'll budge we can try again but if she rejects us again we'll have to set out and find you another teacher we can't be wasting time here when you should be training." Said Katara

"Should we wait here until tomorrow then?"

"Why don't we just go through the front door I'm sure they'll let you, I mean you're the avatar." commented Sokka "worse they can say is no"

So they did and after a pleasant conversation which resulted in a 2nd steady refusal from Toph. The gaang was just about to give up, they agreed to stay the night and leave come morning.

'Man these rich people sure live fancy' thought Sokka checking out his room he was sleeping in before he could finish his line of thought he heard a large thumping noise coming from outside.

He went to investigate before realizing Aang wasn't in his room, he told Katar who helped him search for and find a note attached to a dagger holding Aang and Katara for ransom.

After debating their demands the Bei Fong's decided to listen to the blackmail.

A long walk to the Earth Rumble Arena later and they paid the ransom, toph was released.

"What about Aang," said Sokka noticing they hadn't released him

"The fire nation are willing to pay a much steeper reward for his head," said Xin fu

Aang tries to encourage them to leave "Go I'll be ok"

"Toph there's too many of them we need your help" Katara stated.

"My daughter can't help you she's blind"

"I can help," says toph before flinging her petite body onto the arena.

She then proceeded to demolish all of her opponents, ducking under rocks, deflecting and shooting back, forming barriers, she ended up throwing her entire competition into a human pile with extreme ease before freeing Aang.

Sokka went over to the earth benders and bonked them over the head to see if he could get experience and though he did it as a joke it surprisingly worked for two of them 'sweet, they must have been conscious enough to count as my victory' he thought.

What followed was an extremely awkward walk back home to the Bei Fong mansion where upon arrival team Avatar once again tried to recruit toph, who accepted this time they were ecstatic before her parents rained on their parade forbidding it and kicking them out.

The crew disappointed were ready to board Appa and leave when out of the corner of her eye Katara saw Toph heading towards them, "Guys look its toph!" Sokka and Aag looked over only to confirm Katara's words Toph was indeed running towards them upon arriving she said "my parents changed their minds, I can go"

'There's no way that's true' though Sokka pessimistically. "Well you should get on board before they change their minds again," he said in a knowing tone. Toph just gave him a grateful smile.

Just like that team Avatar became a quartet.

(A/N: I don't know if I like 3rd person for this, oh well I'll decide after writing 1 more chapter whether to stick with it or go back to 1st person.)

Edit: I'm not sure if this edit thing works, but I'll try in case anyone is wondering I won't update for a week or 2 when I finally finish school my finals are coming up in like 3 days and I need to study after that it'll be summer and I'll try to update frequently. School sucks, but on the plus side my grades are pretty good right now hopefully I won't mess them up.

Please leave a review... or don't i can't force you.
