The return

"So that explains the history of this place. But it if was meant to be a safe haven for Pokémon, why are only ghost types allowed to enter? Does it have something to do with the doom walkers? and what does this have to do with Marshadow?" he asked.

{It has everything to do with Marshadow, he is the younger brother, he is the walking calamity that massacred millions single-handedly. He is one of the two war gods. I am 100% certain that according to my inherited memories, Marshadow is the same. There is no mistake. But I only realised who he was when I awakened my legacy power.} he explained seriously.

"If that's the case and he was such a dangerous being, why did you say nothing then?" he asked seriously.

{Because he doesn't remember who he was. he was naïve and childish. I thought that maybe it would be worth correcting his ways. I do not believe that he is inherently evil or bad. He did what he had to do for his species. The perspectives change depending on where you stand.

I don't blame him for what he did because I simply don't care. My species was weak, if they were strong enough, they would have done better. I don't hold that against him. He was my little brother the moment he joined our family. His mistakes and who he was stopped mattering from that moment forward.} Machamp said seriously.

Rex was astounded by his words. He didn't know that all this was going on. Neither did the system. But to think Machamp would be so accepting. It was truly mesmerizing.

And just as he was about to praise him for it, a rift opened up in space and a black hand grabbed onto the border. Thick green fire and smoke danced on the hand before another grabbed onto the other end and tore the rift open even wider.

A leg came out followed by another before a head emerged. The face was pitch black except for a pair of golden flame-like eyes that burned with verociousity. His long white hair floated behind him that faded into pitch-black shadows with wisps of black smoke coming off of it.

A golden crown adorned and framed his face, a red crystal on his forehead. Jade green energy floated around him slowly as his figure was in full view of the pair.

Machamp grimaced immensely at the sight. This was something he could not have imagined. This was power he had never seen before. Hatred, fury, sadness, he felt all those emotions from the creature in front of him.

Rex also frowned slightly, who was this being. The power it emanated surpassed that of any other creature he had seen. it rivalled Machamp, or maybe... slightly stronger. it was unclear.

"Who are you?" he asked seriously. He was sure this creature could communicate as well as Machamp. There was no reason to degrade or look down on this being.

[…Death] that was the only word it muttered.

Rex frowned even harder, but he didn't want to face this thing here, this was a sacred place.

"Machamp, I don't care how powerful it is, we're dragging out of here, go towards the ocean, I'll be right behind you." He said quickly.

Machamp had already shot forward and grabbed the shadow by the hair and shot through the roof like a bullet. He instantly disappeared from his place and through the clouds where a sonic boom could be heard. Rex saw a small white trail in the sky heading towards the ocean.

Rex didn't dawdle here and play with his thumbs, he called out Arcanine immediately. The latter burst out of his Pokeball and looked around before unconsciously locking onto the trail in the sky.

"No time to talk, massive crisis, follow after that trail at full speed!" Rex said as he jumped on his back. Arcanine didn't hesitate to transform into his dragon form and vanish from sight in a beam of light.

Not even a minute later the trail began to descend at double the speed it was travelling at. It began to glow orange as it burned up.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The collision sent massive waves surging in all directions. Wave's as tall as 7 storey buildings rose up as a massive hole in the ocean devoid of water was created where two Pokémon stood opposite each other.

Rex hopped off Arcanine in mid-air and stood on a barrier made of aura. Arcanine stood on it as well and undid his transformation under Rex's instructions.

They both looked down at the two figures as they were surrounded by a water tornado.

Machamp looked at the being with a deep frown. He was certain the collision would do some serious damage. But seeing the perfectly fine image of his opponent, he was shocked. He didn't decide to probe his opponent but instead burst out with all his legacy power in one go. He grew to 15 meters. His arms bulged and grew before splitting again to form six strong arms.

He gazed down at his opponent and his oppressive aura exploded forth. It demanded that every being submit.

[You remind me of that retched dog] he growled.

Machamp knew exactly who he was talking about. Arceus had the same oppressive aura but much stronger. His was a weaker version, but it was in essence, the same.

{I know it's you Marshadow, I don't know what you went through in there, but we are family, you need to calm down.} Machamp reasoned. He had finally made the connection. the legacy, the Pokeball and the being in front of him.

[calm down you say… I don't think I can,] Marshadow mumbled, the last parts were shaky. Machamp knew something was up, but he didn't have time to think as he felt excruciating pain from his chest and shot out at the speed of sound. His body parted the clouds above.

[Why did you suddenly get so weak?] Marshadow asked as it stood where Machamp was and stared at his fist's with seriousness.
