"Cry louder, warm blood! *Snarl* Shake the mountains with your roar! Haha~" Valhir's mocking voice burst from his chest as he slammed his palm down on Rex. The massive hand capable of holding up the sky descended like a meteor, impossible to resist.

But as Rex stared at it, a relieved smile bloomed. A familiar feeling, one that was so unique that he could never forget it remerged in this isolated world. Two lives intertwined, capable of piercing even through the fabric of space and time reconnected once more.

A star suddenly illuminated the cold earth where he stood. Like a spotlight. Like a ray of hope. And with it, came a heaven-shaking roar that tore the sky asunder.

Covered in black flames, a four-armed asura smashed into Valhir with the force of a thousand suns.

BOOM!

Rock and ice flew as the calamitous body of the titan collided against the hard earth. Above him was a body in the midst of evolution. A blinding light exploded forth, carrying with it unrivalled majesty.

Like bamboo after a downpour, Machamp began to explosively grow before the shocked gaze of Valhir.

Its four arms slowly merging together, crystalising into two monstrous limbs bulging with unimaginable power. Golden strings seeped out of his pores like divine lightning, slithering around his body and hammering against the earth causing giant fissures to open up. Some of the fur on Valhir even flickered slightly from the sheer heat.

"Bastard pup, get off of me!"

Yet, the entrancing sight was cut short as a humongous fist akin to a flying mountain smashed into Machamp, sending him streaking across the sky before colliding against the cold frozen ground.

With an enraged howl, Valhir rose, not a scratch visible from the previous impact, as if he was simply knocked over by a passing breeze.

"How? How is he still fine?!" Rex voiced, a shocked expression visible amidst the dust and rain. He knew better than anyone else, that Machamp had used was his full strength in that attack just now.

When realisation finally struck him, a look of horror finally surfaced. The brief sense of relief brought by his most trusted companion was snuffed out as quickly as it had appeared.

"Hmhmhm~," a thunderous, drum-like chuckle stirred within the titan as it turned to Rex.

"My blood is of the Vorrijaard, the land before the Freljord."

BOOM!

With a step forward from its massive foot Valhir's baritone and commanding voice echoed like worldly law, "My every roar cracks the earth, and splits the seas!"

BOOM!

"Clouds, are the storm-cloak wrapped around my fur."

BOOM!

"With each step I take, the wind gathers!"

BOOM!

"With my roar, thunder howls!"

BOOM!

"My very existence… SHAKES THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE WORLD!"

BANG!

His feet came together before leaping into the sky like a bullet, his speed disproportionate to his size.

Rex widened his eyes as he took all this in, his worldview shattering as the wild dance of lighting amidst the clouds was reflected in his eyes, momentarily illuminating Valhir's shape within the endless sea of ink.

A gust of wind rose from below, and the giant body of Machamp emerged from the rubble, his body covered in wounds as he stared at the clouds with solemn eyes.

The warning from Gaia flashed through his mind, coming to prominence at the forefront of his thoughts. Stronger the idea became until both Trainer and Pokémon stared at each other with a burning passion.

"Are we really doing this?" Rex asked, a confident smile emerging on his face. A mirror-like response echoed out along the frozen wasteland they dwelled in. "Then there is no need to hold back." He added, pointing his open palm towards Machamp, an instinctual action that had no meaning registered in his mind apart from a gut feeling.

Synchronised in body and spirit, the titanic Pokémon and small human exploded with blinding light as a stream of golden lightning shot out from their palms. Time stopped as their bodies melted away under the sheer force pressing down on their bodies. Deconstructing them down to the smallest atom before rebuilding. Their flesh merged together, alongside the rising magma and harsh sunlight around them.

"Disappear with the winter frost, young pups!" Valhir roared as he descended on the transforming trio. As his fist collided with the bubble of searing energy coating the duo, it bounced off, inconceivable as the result might be, the polar bear was nevertheless forced to shuffle backwards, his heels gouging out deep lines across the already scarred battlefield.

Birdsong filled the crumbling sky as a second sun shone forth with equal brilliance to that of the original. A charred hand pierced through the molten liquid, wrapped in a golden gauntlet glistening with a blinding brilliance. The muscles grew with indecent hast, from a withered limb to a perfectly carved masterpiece. More and more of the beast within emerged, slowly prying—eating at the cocoon that had served as its protection moments prior.

The wind howled, calling towards its new master—the ground split as mountains emerged, stabbing into the inky clouds that clung to the dreadful sky. A monstrous aura shattered the ice, as magma rolled out in tsunami-sized waves, overwhelming—swallowing everything in its path. Nourishment for the calamity making itself known to the world.

Its first appearance being in the small—almost unknown corner of a long-forgotten dimension. The owner of which was currently grimacing at the scorching heat.

Before him stood a man-yet-not quite. A husk—shell almost, encased the being like armour. Charred black, it contrasted with the solar energy stored inside, tearing at the seams, as long streaks of brilliance taking the shape of flowing locks flared out majestically.

It sauntered through the melting battlefield, each step leaving dark charred scars upon the earth, plumes of black smoke rising unceasingly. As it stared at the polar bear before it, a long spear made of solar energy—golden orange in colour coalesced in its opened hand.

There was no need to talk, for such a time had long passed. Its lack of a mouth—the very embodiment of that thought.
