Chapter 21

The woman looks around the room before her sight stops on Christopher. "You must be Christopher," she says seductively as she struts over to him. "I'm Morgan. Your mother has told me so much about you and that we would make a great couple."

"Excuse me?" I ask as I glance at a very nervous Hilary.

This Morgan woman looks at me and smiles. "You must be his sister or the nanny since I see a child with him. Your job is done for the night. You may go," she says with a wave of her hand.

"Woah, hold the reigns here. I am not his sister or his nanny," I tell her. Looking over to Hilary, who is looking more nervous. "Explain yourself right now?"

Morgan steps towards me, making me snap my sight back to her. "You don't get to talk to her like that. Who do you think you are?"

Christopher walks over while holding Tucker on his side. "This is my wife. You are the one who should be watching who you speak to in that manner." His words shock everyone in the room but I keep it off of my face and go with it. We are trying to work things out.

"I was invited here under the assumption that you were single and was looking for someone. It was never stated that you were married," Megan states quickly. She looks at me closely as realization hit her like a brick. "You're Natalia Anderson."

"Yes I am," I state with a nod. "And I don't appreciate you hitting on my man."

Morgan looks at me in shock possibly because she was trying to seduce Christopher right in front of me. "I am so sorry about all of this. I wasn't trying to insult anyone or cause any problems," Morgan says as she steps towards the door. "I will be going now. You all have a good night." With that, she walks out of the room followed by the sound of the front door shutting.

"What was that about Hilary?" Richard demands from his wife.

"I thought that since Christopher was coming over I would try to set him up with someone. I didn't expect for him to bring Natalia and Tucker," she defends herself.

I think I have had enough of tonight's events. "I am going to leave now. Tucker would you like to stay for a while or do you want to go home?"

Tucker looks at me when I ask him what he wants to do. "We can go home, momma. I don't want to be here anymore," he says as he sends Hilary a hard look.

"As you wish, my little prince. Let's go," I say as I go to get him from Christopher.

Christopher looks at me before taking one of my outstretched hands and starts to lead me out of the house. We get out of the house and to the car when we hear Richard calling after us. I turn to see him jogging towards us down his walkway.

"I want to apologize for everything. There is no excuse for Hilary to do that or treat you that way," he says as he gets to us.

I smile at him and place my hand on his shoulder. "It's fine, Rich. I grew accustomed to her behavior a long time ago."

Christopher between his father and me. "What do you mean?"

Richard sighs as he looks at his son. "Your mother has always treated Natalia like how she did inside. I would always defend her against your mother but she was always believed what she was told by others. When I wanted for Natalia to tell you, she said that she didn't want to cause a problem between you and your mom that would form a rift between you both. I am sorry that I didn't tell you sooner," Richard says as he looks at his son with a sad expression. Christopher is looking at me in sadness of what he was just told.

"It's okay, dad. Thank you for defending her as well as accepting her the way you do. I think that Tucker would love to see more of you," Christopher says to his dad as he hugs him.

"That's right, daddy. Grandpa Richard can come play with me as long as he doesn't bring the mean lady. I can tell that Grandpa is a nice person," Tucker says as he pokes his head out of the open door.

We all laugh at him before we get serious again. "You can come by anytime to spend time with him, Rich. Christopher will send you my number and home phone number for you to be able to reach me." Richard's face lights up at my words before he hugs me tightly.

"I always knew you were special. You all get going so little man doesn't get impatient," He says with a chuckle. "Good night, my children."

Richard makes his way back into his home as Christopher and I got into the car. The ride started off silent until Tucker looked at Christopher with a hard look. "Why was that lady flirting with you in front of mommy?"

Christopher looks at our son in shock before he regains his composure. "Well, little man, she didn't know about your mommy and me."

Tucker looks at him a little longer before he turns to look out of the window. "Okay but if anyone else does that again, they will have to deal with me."

This makes me smile as I look at him in amusement. "What will you do if it happens again?"

Without even looking at me, he says "That's top secret mommy."

I just silently chuckle as Christopher does the same. The one thing on my mind now is what Hilary said. She claims that Chelsea told her, which I don't doubt. There was a underlaying story behind it like she wasn't entirely truthful. One way or another, I will find out what it is.

The car finally pulls in front of the house as Christopher's phone dings and we all get out. As we are about to walk in, Christopher stops me as Tucker continues into the door. He waits until the door is shut before he starts on what he is wanting to say.

"I wish I could stay again but I need to get home. My guard texted me that Chelsea was there asking for me," he says as he looks at me in conflict.

"Why was she at your house?" I ask him in curiosity. There is no reason for her to be there on the weekend if there isn't a business event planned.

"I am not sure but I don't want her to spy on the house and I am not there. We don't need to raise any suspicion with her until we can catch her," Christopher says with a look of annoyance.

I look at him closely and notice what he was secretly saying. "Are you telling me that she has done this before?"

He looks at me with a look of anger that I knew wasn't directed at me. "Yes, she has. When we were married, she apparently hired a man to stake out the house at times. Then here recently, the same man has been seen outside of my house again."

I look back as the front door opens and Grayson walks out with Huxley. "Is everything okay out here?"

"Yeah, he was just telling me of the pest problem he has," I say to them before turning back to Christopher. "Can we tell them? We can help you get rid of them?"

Christopher nods his head as Grayson asks, "Tell us what?"

I motion for my brothers to come closer just in case Tucker comes back out. We don't need him to overhear this. When they get to me, I lower my voice for only us to hear. "Chelsea has hired a man to stake out Christopher's home. This man apparently did this when we were married and is now all of a sudden back."

They both nod in understanding before Grayson looks at Christopher. "We can take care of him if you want. You just have to say the word."

Christopher looks at him in shock since this is the nicest that Grayson has ever been to him since they met. I see the wheels turning in his head as he tries to decide what he wants to do. After a few minutes, he looks at my brother with confidence all over his face. "I will definitely take you up on that offer. My guards have been on edge because of all this."

Grayson nods before turning to me. "What do you say sis? You up for a little fun?"

I send him a smirk as Christopher looks at me waiting to hear my answer. "You bet your ass I am," I say before looking at Christopher. "Go on home and act like everything is normal. I will text you to let you know when the target is removed. Inform your guards that he will be dealt with but don't freak out if they witness anything."

Christopher nods at me before we hear the door open again. Tucker comes running to us before launching himself at Christopher. "Are you staying the night again, daddy?"

Christopher's face falls a little at Tucks question before he shakes his head. "I have to go home tonight buddy. I have some things I need to take care of so I can come back to play with you."

"When are you coming back?" Tuck asks with a sad tone. My heart breaks at the sadness in his voice but I knew this would happen eventually.

"Soon, I promise. But in the meantime, I want you to be good for mommy. Can you do that for me?" Christopher asks him. I can see the sadness in his eyes at the fact that he has to leave.

"Always, daddy. I'm a little angel," Tucker says, making us all laugh. For the most part he is, but there are times that he is a little demon wrecking havoc as he goes. Giving Christopher one last hug, Tuck runs back inside to go do who knows what.

Christopher looks at me before he goes to get back into the car. "I will see you soon, beautiful."

"See you soon," I tell him with a smile. I watch him get into the car and pull out of the driveway before turning to my brothers. "Let's go get ready."

An hour later, we are in the black SUV sitting outside of Christopher's mansion. The guards are looking around the area on high alert for anything that is amiss. A ding draws my attention to my phone which shows a message from Christopher. "Okay boys. The vehicle is a gray Denali that has a light bar that looks to be about 12 inches. The windows are tinted and there is a dent in the front driver side." Grayson, Huxley, and Jackson all acknowledge the information in unison. Jaxon was inside the house when we all walked in and headed to the armory and wanted to come with us. The only weapons we brought were low caliber because we only want to wound if necessary, not kill.

I grab my hat from the dash and put it on since the man knows what I look like. Megan already has hers on since we are the scout team and will be acting like we are nightly joggers on a run. Exiting the car, she sends me a wink before smacking my butt before starting the jog. We jog down one side and cross at the intersection just down the road. With t he first pass of Christopher's house, we see the vehicle parked on the side of the road about forty yards ahead of ours. As we make our way back, I inform the guys of the targets position to be ready to go. When Megan and I are getting near the Denali, I see my brothers walking like it was just a guys night. We all reach the vehicle at the same time and the guys jerk open the doors to the vehicle as Huxley pulls the man out who was holding a camera. He takes the man around the back of the car before shoving the man up against the side.

"Who are you and why are you staking out this house?" Huxley interrogates.

The man is looking at Huxley with fear as he fumbles for his words. "I was hired to watch Christopher Lane by his assistant. She said that she was worried that he was in trouble or wasn't faithful to her."

Grayson looks at the man with a look that makes the man look like he is about to wet himself. "You do realize that Christopher Lane isn't dating her, right?"

The man looks at Grayson in confusion. "That can't be true. She comes here all the time and stays the night. She always leaves the next morning looking like she had the time of her life."

My heart squeezes at his words before I push it back. "How long has she been employing you to spy on him?"

The man looks at me, trying to see my face. "Six years. She hired me to spy on him with his mistress that he had living with him."

Anger boils in my veins as I fully look at him. The man looks at me in recognition before he starts to tremble. "Who said I was a mistress? I was his wife not some delusional woman who wanted something that wasn't hers like your employer."

"You're the woman that I have seen on the news. Natalia Anderson of Anderson Records. I was under the impression that you were some money hungry mistress back then," the man says as he tries to make sense of it all.

"As you know now, that is not the case. Here is what you are going to do. From this day forward, you are to never return here and cut all ties with Chelsea Jones. If we catch you here again, you will not like what the consequences will be for disobeying us," I instruct him. His head nods vigorously as he accepts our terms. With a quick nod to Huxley, he lets the man go not without shoving him again before he does.

The man gets back into his car quicker than I have ever seen a man of his size move. The vehicle starts up and we make our way back to our car as the guards look at us with relief all over their faces. I send them a quick nod before we get into the SUV to which they return with a smile.

Getting settled into my seat, we decide to wait to see if the guy comes back. I pull out my phone and text Christopher about the situation.

Me: Subject has been dealt with, you can sleep peacefully tonight without any worries.

Christopher: Thank you, guys. I won't be able to do that with my two favorite people here with me ;).

Me: We will be when we are ready for that. For now you will just have to be a trooper.

Christopher: As long as I am a trooper in your army, then I am happy.

I smile as I read his message as Jaxon makes a gaging noise behind me. Turning my head, I see him leaned up to the back of my seat being nosey. Serves him right for snooping on a private conversation.

"What's the matter, brother?" I ask him in amusement.

"You technically aren't together and already are basically sexting," he says before doing another gag.

"Well that's where you're wrong brother. We are doing no such thing but even if we were, it would be payback for always having to endure your porno starter scenes we have to witness with Megan," I tell him as Huxley and Grayson laugh. Megan is in the back with a blush that reaches her ears.

As I turn to the front of the car to leave out of our spot, I see a car pull up to the gate in front of Christopher's mansion. A person gets out of the passenger side and walks up to the side gate as the car backs out to leave. When the person stops to look around, my anger rises as my heart drops.

What is Chelsea doing here this late at night? My brothers see her as well before Huxley lets out a grunt of anger. Not giving them the chance to get out and storm the mansion, I pull out of the parking spot to head home. As we pass by the gate, I see Chelsea walking into the front door.

Was it all just a lie to try to get me back?
