On our way p.1

The roar echoed around the entire cavern. As the last echo died they all looked up at me and waited.

'Wait was I supposed to say something?' I mind linked Shadow. "You can tell them thanks and that your ready for their help in aiding your clansman. That today marks the harmony between our two species."

'Well damn you had that already thought out, okay I'll try.' Clearing my throat I raised myself up higher on Shadow and began what I hoped was a good speech based off what he told me to say.

"Hello there everyone, I deeply appreciate that you have accepted me as your Princess. Even though our species used to be at odds with one another I hope today marks the day of harmony between us. I also sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for the help your about to give in aiding my remaining fellow Hellcats. As you know I want to aid you as well in your endeavor to get rid of the black ones. Let's do this for the happiness of both our homes!"

Shadows quiet laugh through the mind link rebounded in my head as I finished my speech. "Well not bad for an on the spot speech. Your better than you think."

The Fox Deer again set off echos of their roars. 'I'll take that as a good thing then.' I thought slightly amused.

"Come let us find my mates Hellcats before they are hunted down by the black ones!" Shadows voice commanded as he turned and led the way out of the cavern. Howls and yips following us as more than two dozen Fox Deer and Altia raced behind us.

We passed quickly through the moss and crystal lit cavern, when we reached the outside the shadows of sunset could be seen. It was beautiful, I wish I could take a picture of it so that I could keep it. If only I had my phone right now.

"What's a phone?" Shadows voice filtered through the mind link.

'Well a cellphone is a thing we use back on Earth. It's an electronic device that can connect you to anyone in the world. It can store images you want to keep forever within it. You can also look up information that you don't know on it.' As I told him about Earth's cellphones I tried to picture in my mind the device and everything that it does, well did. I also tried to censor the memories I was sharing.

"That is one heck of a magical device. I can not wait to see it. That was one of the items you requested right?"

That's right it was one of the items I had requested. Because of the mind link he definitely saw that. Did he see the other items too? My memory flashed again to that day and the moment right before everything went white.

"Is that furred thing supposed to be a baby wingless tiger? Shadows laughter bubbled up through thr link. Because if that is then I feel sorry for it, how did it hunt? It looks so weak... kinda tasty though..."

'Hey now!' I cut him off sternly. 'That is my pet, was my pet. She meant the world to me. Also cats were animals that were domesticated to be taken care of by us Humans. We oftentimes treated them better than ourselves to be honest.'

I let more memories flow through the link, memories of not just my time with Brooke but of Cerberus too. Of how I've seen my friends treat their pets versus how my mom treated hers. I'm pretty sure Shadow was going to have a ton of questions after shifting through those.

"I do have a ton of questions but your right that pet of yours had a good life. I hope you get to see her soon."

'Yea me too.'

The shades of sunset had become even darker and I feard we wouldn't run into one of my clansmen anytime soon. That's when I heard it, a scream up ahead. It was close but it wasn't so close that we would reach there immediately. 'Just hang on. Hang on we are on our way.' I thought as I gripped Shadows fur with my other hand tighter.
