TWO: FANTASY NOVELS

"Are you aware ash knight17 released another new novel?"

"No, well I've been focused on SPELLBOUND...what's the title?" Scarlett asked Reese.

"LETTERS TO ROMEO."

Reese was grinning from ear to ear in excitement. She was so obsessed with ash knight17's novels because they spoke about vampires and she knew how to write about them like she was one of them. Sometimes she had a feeling she was a vampire because everything about her was just secretive, her Instagram page was private, she hardly said much like other authors, rather she says little.

Her dp on every website looked eerie and thrilling, she was glad ash knight17 was a female....she was dying to know her favorite author more.

"The name alone is already pulling me like magnet, haha..." Scarlett chuckled lightly, she typed the title in her phone and saved it to drafts.

"What chapter are you in spellbound?" It surprised Reese that Scarlett was still focused on spellbound...at least she expected her to say she's waiting for her to update.

"Two hundred and something."

"Two hundred and something? Scarlett!" Reese's eyes enlarged in shock and surprise, she couldn't believe this. Scarlett smiled a one sided smile.

"What happened Scarl? You're a fast reader, and you always read far and wide before I even meet you." Scarlett rested her head on Reese's thigh and let out a breezy sigh.

"I've been so busy Reese...you know I love Kazzenlx and I hate to disappoint her, her books are very good."

Scarlett was a loyal fan to Kazzenlx while Reese was a loyal fan to ash knight17, though she love to read Kazzenlx books but most times she preferred ash knight17.

"So what's got you so busy?" Reese ran her fingers through Scarlett's smooth brown hair.

"I want to take a break from fantasy books...they're not real and its beginning to tire me Reese, right now there are a lot of hard copy books at home of super romance and its the best...you need to read one Reese..."

Reese just gaped at Scarlett...what was happening to her 'book buddy'?

"Come on Scarlett...you're breaking my heart." Reese sulked and Scarlett just smiled.

"Whenever you're ready Reese, I'll give you one, you need to get your head out of all those fictitious books for a change...focus on urban romance, try reading 'TRIAL MARRIAGE HUSBAND,' its a good and intriguing read Reese.."

"Noooo! Scarlett don't do this to me, I thought we were 'fantasy romance book' buddies..."

Reese wailed playfully and Scarlett chuckled while staring at Reese.

Reese didn't like what was happening at all so she urged Scarlett more.

"Do you know Kazzenlx released another novel?"

"Yeah I know Scarlett, you know I'm always consistently following her Reese..." Reese huffed and pouted her cherry red lips in sadness.

"Don't cry baby Reese, I won't be gone for long okay?" Reese pouted her lips the more and Scarlett laughed.

"Reese come on...please stop." Scarlett pleaded but Reese didn't listen.

"REESE." Scarlett screamed Reese's name and Reese burst into laughter because she stressed Scarlett.

"One day I'll get all the evidence I need to convince you Scarlett,"

"Reese you're too obsessed, there are great guys out there with perfect looks, don't waste your time on things that aren't real..."

"What if they're real Scarlett, even Google can testify that there was once a vampire."

"And you believed?" Scarlett sat upright and faced Reese in surprise.

"Why won't I, its so real...do you know the first vampire to exist was DRACULA? Why then do people write books and movies about Dracula?...now can you relate Scarlett?"

"No, Dracula is just a myth."

"Scarlett...he's not, his real name was 'VLAD DRACUL,' he was born in Transylvania."

"That's just a made up story Reese...maybe they got it from the movie 'HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA'..." Scarlett tried to put sense into Reese's mind.

"What if that movie was an illustration of the real Dracula and his home town..."

"Reese, vampires are just tales and folklores."

"Then who will just pop out of nowhere and form such mind blowing story, Scarl? It happened and people witnessed it, that was why they spread the news, but as the world kept advancing they became myth to us and people began to form different stories about them, we don't even know which one is real anymore..."

Scarlett couldn't deny the fact that Reese's point made sense but she wasn't convinced.

"So what if they're real Reese, what if they live with us? What if they also partake in everything we do Reese?...you know, even the bible said 'ignorance is better'. What if you find one and your experience with it won't be as great as the movies or books you watch and read Reese...what if they're hideous and very dangerous?"

Scarlett's long speech got through Reese's skull. What Scarlett said was true, deep down Reese felt it and it frightened and depressed her.

"That's why its best for you to give fantasy novels a rest Reese, read other books or find yourself a nice gentleman..."

"I don't need any guy in my life Scarlett...what you said actually make sense...am gonna find one and I'll be prepared for them."

"Oh stop it Reese...I used what ifs to make you understand my point, or don't you know the meaning of what ifs again?..."

"REEEEESE!"

Reese fell back on her bed and covered her face with a pillow when she heard her brother call her name...disrespectfully.

He opened the door and peeked in, he had a smug smile on his face.

"Oh Reeseyyy!" He sang her name out and Reese groaned in annoyance.

"What's the problem Ethel, spit it out." Scarlett spoke on behalf of Reese.

"There's this movie I'd love you to come watch with me, its a vampire movie titled 'NIGHT TEETH'." Reese threw the pillow away and sat upright like a robot...

"Really?!" She squealed in delight and hurried out of bed, pulling Scarlett along with her.

"Reese, am not in the mood."

"You have to Scarlett, we're in this together." Ethelbert had already hurried downstairs, he could do anything for horror movies.

Reese rushed downstairs with the reluctant Scarlett and plopped her on the chair before hurrying to the kitchen to get popcorn from the shelf. Not long after she returned with three bowls of popcorn.

"Wow....first time you did the right thing sis, I love you with the smallest part of my heart." Ethelbert remarked sarcastically and Reese used her leg to kick him in his stomach.

"Argghh...who taught you that Reese?....is it the vampire in your dreams?" He winked at her but she ignored him.

"Why are you always this annoying Ethel?" Scarlett enquired while collecting a bowl of popcorn from Reese.

"Easy...'cause I was born this way."
