PROLOG ***********

(THE FIRST ENCOUNTER)

************************

The night was cold and brisk, the feeling of the night felt like a kiss from a corpse lying in the moonlight, becoming upon the glistening snow. Laying in the snow feeling his hands frozen against the snow nearly going numb, letting out a sigh, his breath came in smoke waves drifting off into the cool brisk air feeling a sense of eternity. He didn't feel more at peace, then right at this very moment, snow lay on the ground all around him, yet he didn't care, his senses were filled with bark from the damp wood of the trees surrounding him with a cold delight. With every snowflake that fell, he felt like he could taste them, The frozen water, cools his dry tongue as he let it hang out the feel of the cool wet snow damping his red cheeks. Watching the night sky full of stars, his whole body felt numbed by the snow. He knew his jeans and coat would be wet upon his departure. He didn't care he loved living in the now he hated it when people told him to stop daydreaming and to stop living in the clouds people didn't take the time anymore to just stop and sit to see the great wonder around them, it was all about money or buildings. Just sitting there was enough for him, But he would not, even when the wind came up while he felt the cold wind biting his sensitive flesh. Sighing, he knew that he could not remain there forever, rising from the snow, he erased the small particles of snow still clinging to his wet jeans. He headed back to his car knowing it would take forever to warm up, he sighed heavily as he continues to walk through the dark woods wishing he would've at least brought a flashlight with him.

Walking on rocks and fallen branches of leaves of a tree still dispersed white earth one of each color, It was quite, too quiet he wondered why he hasn't seen any animal's running around then it dawned on him slapping his damp forehead, he knew the answer to his question giving a low chuckle under his breath hissing when he stepped wrong jerking to the side looking down rubbing his ankle, hearing a loud crack in the distance jerking his attention to the sound almost immediately stopping his movement as he looked around, Not moving he looked back and forth, almost like he was waiting for a car to pass so he could cross the street, but there was no car and no red light there was nothing but darkness and trees. He stood there and waited, but nothing happened his heart pounded but it was more from slight curious fear, being excited to know, but not want to know to be afraid of what's out there but to be supremely fascinated by it. But it was quiet, too quiet, Thinking he would've seen an animal run by trying to seek warm shelter from the cold, but all he could see was dark nothing, the black abyss that echoed into complete nothing. As he waited there for a couple of seconds more wanting to see if it was something friendly or dangerous, when a couple more seconds went by he shrugged and kept walking, hearing nothing else but the crunching noise under his boots from the white snow it stopped snowing long enough for him to see his way back to the car. As he walked along the path, he saw next to nothing, but it was too dark, He then remembered he had his phone in his pocket, eagerly pulling out the damp phone from his pocket, feeling the phone as he didn't need light to know it was soaking wet. He cursed, hoping it would still work, hit the power button, but nothing happened. When he tried to turn on the phone, he missed a big step. Hitting his head on a nearby rock, it nearly knocked him for a loop as he tried to keep his focus, but he couldn't all of the trees looked like big brownish blobs trying to stand his knees feeling like jelly, his breathing then became shallow almost like he was taking his last breath, within seconds his world went black, Hours later finally came to he looked around his head felt fuzzy and pain throbbed in his head when he went to sit up, he hissed pain shot through his brain as he sat up looking around all he could see was blobs, everything was blurry, trees even looked like big blobs, trying to look around to see what he had tripped on not finding anything. Getting down on the ground to find his phone that he dropped, cursing under his breath, his hands shook from the ice-cold snow his head felt like a pound of hammers were dropped on him. His head pounded feeling every pulse, he grabbed the side of his head with his palm pulling his hand away, hissing in pain looking at his hand, his vision kept zooming in and out his head felt fuzzy his hands were shaky, but not being able to see anything with the dark night looming over his shoulder blood dripped from his head falling on to his hands as he looked for his phone sighing he knew it was a very bad idea to sneak out in the middle of the night, huffing with frustation as he grabbed stick after stick hands fulls of leaves and cold wet dirt knowing he will have to confess sooner then later but he didn't want that so he coninued to look for his phone.

Once finnaly finding his phone he whipped off the wet melting snowflakes off the screen, but when he pushed the power button the phone screen went bright with light, but he felt his heart skip a couple of beats when he saw that this wasn't his phone. The screen had a picture of a redhead and a man on it their smiles were big they looked happy very content with their existence, but what he didn't understand is how it still worked under the snow it could've been there for a very long time for all he knew is it could've been there for years but it didnt look like it was it looked brand new it even still had that new phone smell but the screen was cracked and dirty he whipped it off to see if he could call somene on it but it beeped at him " No signal? You've got to be kidding me. " He said to himself cursing, but he couldn't take his eyes off the picture hearing a long deep groan made him want to run in that instant hearing that and being alone in the woods was never a good combination he's seen enough horror flicks to know it didn't always end well for the people trespassing, but this was real life, his eyes watered knowing this might be his last moments on earth he knew that investigating was dangerous he didn't know if it was his mind playing tricks or if someone else was, his heart skipped a couple more times squeezing out a couple of heartbeats. Feeling like his chest was gone explode, he didn't know what to do, he then decided he was gonna get up and go, but he couldn't, he looked back shinning what light the screen was willing to give but he stopped when he found a hand wrapped around his ankle chills filled his entire body, he didn't understand how that was even physically possible he jumped and screamed a little his hole body felt like jello, ringing with urgency to run and leave that place behind but he couldn't move he was frozen with horror

Shinning the very dim light, he gulped a bit of his saliva, his lips dry and chapped his mouth felt sticky from the way his mouth was going dry shinning a little higher to find the owner of that hand was not there he flew backward screaming the hand was torn clean off the muscle and veins of this severed hand still dripped with fresh blood. His body trembled, quickly pulling the dismembered hand off his ankle by looking around him once more without seeing anything his whole body shook the ice-cold feeling the swarmed around him was no longer comforting and all he wanted to do was go home curling up in his warm bed and watch crappy t.v. Not seeing the rest of the body, he got up and rushed to his car.

He didn't know what happened or how that hand got there he didn't even wanna know who it belonged to all he knew is he wanted to get the hell out of there as fast as he could finally look back to see if anything was chasing him.Once he did, he immediately fell upside down breathing into his lungs almost instantaneously, leaving him, he lay there for a while trying to catch his breath.

When he did all he could see was a dark face dominating him, fear leaped through his trembling body. He could not see who this figure was, When the mysterious man smiled all he could make out with white pointy teeth. His heart bounced around in his chest feeling it make its way to his throat, backing up in the snow the dark figure stepped closer towards him the more he moved the closer he got. Finally having the nerve to run. He ran, leaving whatever or whomever it was behind in instant snow crunched loudly as he ran through the dark woods.

When he couldn't run anymore, he stopped hoping whatever it was that had happened had been long gone behind him, looking around he saw his blue piece of shit car. Sighing with relief he walked up to the black pit of the assault that was half-covered by the glimmering white snow. He went to grab his keys from his pocket, but he didn't feel anything there his pockets were empty searching every pocket in his coat and jeans nothing. Looking around for the man but there was nothing but pure scilence hurring he went to wrap up his hand to break his window but looking inside his car he made out the lock from the inside of his car lauging with relief he went to open his car door but stopped seeing a vege shadow in the window he froze.

His eyes became wide, slowly, looking around at the faint street light above barely shown anything but darkness around him, seeing the same dark shadowy figure approach his car. Feeling his heart going a mile per second, stepping into the faint light, horror-struck as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. A man with dark brown hair, pale white skin that blended with the snow around him almost angelic like, but he knew seeing it in the mans eyes that he was no angel, not shirt his chest looked fraigel porclain like if the but the slightest touch it were to break or shatter, a long leather coat to go with his dark boots and jeans. The man's tall torso made him look very intimidating and dangerouse.

His eyes as red were as the crimson that trickled down his lips, smiling stepping closer. His breath grew more shallow as the man came closer and closer till he was but an arm's length away. Slightly touching the side of his temple where he was bleeding previously, the man brought his fingers that were covered with blood to his shivering lips. Moaning loudly when the sweet taste pulverized his mouth, as his eyes rolled in the back of his head feeling the blood course through his body.

When the man looked back at him growling, lunging at him like an animal He let out a final scream that echoed through the mile-long woods, meeting his tragic end.
