Hailey woods....

We are here"ma'am I heard the driver say as we parked in front of a nice hotel..

"Thanks" I said and I pulled out my suitcase from the back of his car and paid him up and watched him as he drove away

I was pretty sure he was regretting picking me up at the airport, I had stressed the poor guy out since today

I walked into the hotel and the first thing that came into my mind was "who the hell does the interior designing here?!!"

As the wall and the tiles were no where the same thing, it had created a contrast color that looked unkempt only a good interior designer would know that this was a really naughty job

Forgive me but my interior designing instincts just kicks in each time I entered a new environment

"Can I get a room for the night?" I asked as I walked straight to the counter...

The receptionist gave me her warmest and biggest smile, I was pretty sure it was part of her job to make customers feel at ease with a warm smile

"VIP or regular section?" She asked with her hands behind her

Considering the amount of money I had on me that night, I needed not to be told to go for the regular section

"Regular please" I said as I returned her smile

Room 413 second floor upstairs" she said as she handed over a bunch of keys and pointed towards the elevator..

I trailed my suitcase behind me and walked to the elevator, I could feel a pair of eyes looking at me from behind even though I didn't know who that was

As I entered the elevator,I saw that the nice lady was still looking at me with that cute smile still on her face..

As I closed the doors of elevator,I wondered if it was just the courtesy of the hotel or maybe she was checking me out

Either way,I didn't care "I thought as I got to the second floor I had been directed to

I could hear loud music coming from the opposite room and some moaning sounds on the other one..

I sighed and just ignored it all and opened up my room, I wasn't really in the mood to knock on someone's door and tell them to turn down whatever noise that was or create a scene with some weirdos that might be occupying the rooms, after all it was the regular section of the hotel. Everyone is entitled to anything, it was like saying"do whatever you want, I don't give a damn about it"

"I dropped my suitcase on the poorly sited bed and looked around ..the manager of the hotel really needed to find a new interior designer"I thought as I banged my hands on the old model television set in front of me and turned it on to any working channel at the moment

I drew open the curtains and turned on the air conditioner, then I began unpacking some clothes and other things I was gonna need tonight. I didn't bother unpacking everything as I was leaving tommorow morning to report back to work to begin my internship programme

My mind flashed back to when I had first gotten my internship letter right in my boss's office

"Who would have believed that I would even be assigned to come back to San Francisco?"

I was dumbfounded and surprised with the internship letter still in my hands, I had pleaded with my boss right there to be assigned to a different city or maybe to stay back in Texas...to be honest, I wasn't ready to come back home not yet

I wasn't ready to face my mom and this place reminded me of a lot of things I had wanted to forget everyday of my life

How my dad abandoned my mom and I for a rich older woman when we barely had anything to eat, I was six years old back then,I didn't even know the reason he left until my mom told me when I was 14

I had since resented my Dad who I had loved with all my life and soul...I remembered how he would give me a piggy back ride each time he came back from work and tickle my tummy till I fell asleep every night..

"Every night I would lie on my small bed with my favorite book by my side, wishing that my Dad was around to read me to sleep... But I had my mom by my side who tried to make me forget the pain I felt everyday, I had grabbed the opportunity to study out of town to clear my mind... and then I realized why my mom was disappointed in me, I felt guilty because she had always been there for me and telling her that I was gay was a thorn on her flesh but sooner or later I was gonna have to tell her

But looking at the face of the woman that was standing right before me, I knew that she had made up her mind..I was definitely going back to San Francisco

I huffed and pick up my toiletries and headed towards the bathroom.

After I had showered, and dressed into my teddy bear sleeping pajamas, I brought out a bag of chips, spring rolls and a can of soda I had bought in Texas at the airport

I had my headphones on with my laptop on my lap as I updated my design app which I had created seven months ago after I had graduated from college....

Then I received an email from my boss and it read out

"Hailey woods, you have been asked to report to marvel peculiar designs tommorow morning by 8am, it's your first day of internship so don't mess up"I chuckled as I saw the heart emoji beside it....

I instantly replied the email with a mocking emoji and slapping my laptop shut, I munched my little snack away enjoying it's crunchy taste and deliciousness
