My eyes widened as what seemed to be crystals started scintillating on the roads of the street we were in. The flames of what few torches were present died instantly as another gust of cold wind blew at our faces; more crystals forming on the ground as it rolled across our path. But... it didn't make any sense...
"Is this why we're-"
*rrrrrooooaaarrrrrrr....*
A haunting growl made me shut my trap as a foreboding presence suddenly materialized in front of us. It was something I had never seen before; a creature so weirdly grotesque, and yet so serene at the same time as it waltzed along the road like a majestic lion. Beside me, Anna was frozen stiff as I trailed her eyes looking directly into the creature's own, my own heart lurching as I too, crossed eyes with the creature, realizing that it was staring right at us.
Uhhhhhhhhhhh...
*rrrrrooooooaaaaghghhhhghhh...*
