"Leader! We've got two here with a broken arm and a leg!"
"Are they going to die!?"
"Well-"
"Then alleviate the symptoms and let them wait!"
Being a leader came naturally to me. Shouting at idiots was always fun, but this was different. The pressure was giving me a thrill that I didn't feel even back in the Furnace for some reason. This was life and death, and yet I was having fun somehow.
"Rouge!"
"Just a sec!"
Why now? Why not when I was being chased by a literal Primzahl with Lise's life in my hands? Or maybe it was only now that I was starting to realize how addicting adrenaline feels.
"Leader! There's someone here that needs help now!"
"Stabilize the patient then! I leave my patient now, and he dies!"
That could be it. I wasn't much of a thrill-seeker back in the old world. I played games, sure, but this was a full-body experience. And I was doing all of this despite being injured myself!
"Leader!"
