Smallville: All New Kryptonian

Moving in a way that would have broken my neck if I still had a body I came face to face with darkness.

There was nothing but darkness all around. I don't know how long I have been here or how I came here everything just feels off like there's...something out there watching me. Waiting. I've long gotten used to it even if I still panic just a little bit whenever I hear something.

The only thing I've had to do in this void is think and reminisce. The only thing that's kept me sane in a sense is my memories of earth, home, and my regrets.

And I began to reminisce once more

"Hey! How's it hanging over there?"

'A little to the left how about you?'

*Snort*"Damn your nasty kid."

'Wait that wasn't my head.' Turning to the best of my abilities I could see what looked like a giant shiny humanoid at a bar front cleaning cups of all things.

'Who are you?'

"I'm someone like you though I got lucky and gained the Essence of the God of reincarnation. Hold your questions. I am stuck here and so are you so what about we make a deal I reincarnate you with some boons in worlds of your choice and you do your best to become more powerful and live a full life. If you get tired of that world you pray to me and I'll summon you here to give you another world to check out and grow powerful in. Sound good?"

'First what the essence gives you the pow-'

"Dropped into your consciousness already."

'So you have all that power but are stuck here then what exactly do you get from reincarnating me?'

"I'll be honest I get extra abilities and growth in my power though if we make this contract I can guarantee that you'll keep powers that aren't completely dependent on their home universe to operate I can even grant you the Essence of the blank and you'll forever be able to go to different worlds as you please."

'Can I make a few amendments to that?'

"Sure!"

'I want the ability to get out of the contract if I say a certain phrase with the intention of gaining independence from you without being influenced by you directly or indirectly a-'

"That works! Though we'll have to decide on a certain amount of reincarnations you'll have to do for me before you can terminate our contract."

'I'm not done yet. Another one is uh'

"Take your time we have a lot of it." The being said pouring himself some red wine. For a while, the only sounds were the occasional sipping of wine and the consistent finger-tapping of wood.

'I'll get to keep any and all abilities you grant me or I learned as well as my knowledge and memories. You cannot kill me off before or after the termination of our contract and no plotting against one another.'

The being Hummed for a few seconds just looking at the human below. "I can agree to those terms though you'll have to serve me for at least 13 lifetimes. I get to decide what abilities are granted to you though you'll always have the essence of the blank, a near absolute defense to mind control, and a better grasp and inclination for energy manipulation of all forms."

"I'll also choose which worlds you go to and during your service can divest you of the abilities I grant you. You'll have to achieve preset goals I give you for your reincarnations though some goals will be given to you after the reincarnation that will be optional but recommended for you to achieve. Deal?"

'Deal.'

"Great! Now a few things you should know I am going to reincarnate you into the Smallville DC universe as a Kryptonian. This Kryptonian Kai-Ro AKA Jason Ironheart will be the same age as Clark. In the original timeline of this world, Jason would become evil because of red Kryptonite, and J'onn J'onzz with the help of Clark kills him. This version of the Smallville universe is an amalgamation that will only partially resemble the TV show you remember so good luck and make me more powerful. Have Fun!" The humanoid said as a yellow portal swallowed me whole.

Nathan sat back down making the bar disappear from his dimension the size of a small mansion. While he would have normally sent his first reincarnator to a small world like Harry Potter first. He needed the most power and knowledge he could get as he drank a damaged version of the Essence of the God of Reincarnation. Otherwise, he would have simply tossed the soul aside and looked for a dimwit he could gain blind loyalty from.

Nathan had messed with Jasons' ability to think but his paranoia was something else. Either way he got more than he wanted and would no longer have to do anything similar after at least 2 reincarnations.

"I hope you prove to be as entertaining as you are paranoid and I just might end up free of my constraints by the end of your first reincarnation."
