Valentines’ Day comes before I know it. I stare out the window at the view from Jett and I’s apartment. My hand plays with the necklace around my neck.

Our first night here, Jett had gone to put my suitcase in the bedroom, and I noticed the box that had been there when he had shown me the place before we went back home for Christmas. I had picked it up as he came back in the room. /"I forgot about that,/" he told me, /"Must have been the kiss./" He wrapped his arms around and leaned in to do just that again.

/"Don’t do it again. I want to see what it is./"
