Accomplice

The week before was pretty quiet. The rabbit had survived my fit it seemed as if it weren't even bothered by the cold.

At night, I'd find myself crying to sleep, trying to be quiet. If they even thought I was too loud, the man who broke my arm would come in and beat me as it would be the first 2 nights. I came to resent the man, but fear held me back from catching his attention.

The rabbit would stay by me at night, It actually would help me to sleep at night, but by the morning, it would be back at its corner of the cell.

Then it came to today, over the night towards the morning, it sounded like a fight was going on.

A man stood outside the camp and watched as the monster entered the camp, killing all who apposed it.

It was none other than an idra war rabbit. The rabbit was enraged as it slaughtered all it came into contact with, leaving a trail of blood where it went.

After it had taken out most of the bandits, the leader came out and slaughtered the rabbit without a scratch.

The man stepped out from his place

"What a waste of good men. If only you'da woken up sooner, you could have saved them."

"You know that's not my style they were merely cannon fodder anyways."

"So, how's the kid? Good news, I hope."

"That kid threw a fit and froze one of my men to death had to put a mage collar on him to keep the kid from dying of mana deficiency."

"That bad, huh. I didn't expect a childs magic to be that potent. It's not every day you meet someone who has so much potential."

"So, did you come to get the kid."

"Yes, it seems the search party is close. I can't lose out on the money."

The man began to walk into the building.

A man walked in. Lucan thought it was his savior.

He saw someone he recognized it was Count Cremona.

"Are you here to help me."

At that moment, Lucan felt a prick o his cheek as the count flicked his finger.

Before lucan could say anything else, he fainted.

"Poor kid doesn't even know when not to trust someone."

The count dragged the boy out of the cell, but the Idra war rabbit wouldn't leave him alone.

'Looks like he bonded with the rabbit. That's strange. This typical monster hates humans, yet it's fine with the boy. That's good he will have increased worth.'

When Lucan woke up again, he was in a cage that was covered by a heavy tarp.

He was tied up this time, hands and feet tied, his mouth gagged as well.

'I trusted a stranger, and this happened. Count Cremona, you vile man, to think you kidnap a nobles child.'

Soon, a man entered the cage and looked at lucan.

This is the boy I told you about that was appraised with 3 magic types."

"What are his affinity for magic? dont you dare try to play me before i check whether this is true or not."

"I saw it dont judge they were ice, fire, and electricity."

"You are right. I would not have believed you. Having an affinity to ice and fire is unrealistic since they counter each other."

the look felt disgusting as if he was being violated by this mans eyes.

"So what you say is true, Cremona, the kid can use 3 types of magic the buyer will be pleased."

"I will take my leave, although word for warning it would be a good idea to keep that mage collar on unless you can take subzero temps. I hear that when he gets upset, it causes a snowstorm cold enough to kill."

"Good idea. I'd better go before the search party gets wize."

With that, the man took his leave with the cart.

At this moment, Cremona felt a presence surrounding him.

'Interesting, I've been found out'

A man appeared dressed in golden heavy armor.

"So you found me out."

"Count Cremona, you're under arrest for aiding in the kidnapping of Lucanar Dreya. Your accomplice will be next."
