I looked at my slugs and i saw all of them nod at the old man's words "So… why are you showing them to me" "…I plan to sell them to black" "Whu?? WHY!!??" "Because feeding them and keeping them strong takes a lot of effort kid and i'm old i need to retire sooner or later, i won't be able to feed them" the old man stroke "Sooner or later black's goons might just ravage my old turdy shop and take my things, so

Kid, if given a chance do you want to get these things?" …i …i wanted… "What do i have to do?" "Help me find a place to stay with my family" Then he explained to me that he needed his wife and children a safe place to stay while he ventured into the 99 caverns and sold his commodities

He fears that his family might be endangered while he is gone and that black might use them to threaten him and because of that he needs a place for his family to stay "I can do that but i will need to find it first" "Sure i can give you some time but i can only last for 5 months at most and 3 at least"

"Sure" After a lot more pleasantries i start my journey again and this time "Rocklock cavern i'm here" looking at a somehow deserted land that has many boulders here and there, and some lands that were elevated… "Hey Birdie" "Hello Trish, did you wait long?"

"Not much but you have to be punished for making a lady wait," the brunette said with a teasing smile "Tsk, it's not like you waited that long" i looked at her grumbling a bit "Hehe, i didn't" then her expression turned grim "This place has many crooks and bandit groups we have to be careful"

"…So how did you stay in this place?" "Well… i'm strong" "…" We entered the town and saw various houses and an arena "Oh, yeah they have a tournament wanna join?" "Tournament?" "Yeah, there the prize is big! A cool slug, lots of gold and Slug energy stone"

"Wow!" my shock is evident because rare slugs are… rare!!! "I know!" her look was as excited as her first slug "I'm convinced" "Hehe then let's go!!"

Getting into the tournament was easy, just a few gold coins and you're in! but battling will be a little trouble

"First up! Reveeeen versuuus Geooooorrdd" Nervously setting foot in one of the platforms i saw my opponent stride like this was easy "First-time kid?" he chuckled "Yeah" "Don't be, cuz ill win quick and easy"

"Look at geord, he will probably defeat this guy before 15 seconds" "Nahh id timeless if he doesn't trash talk too much" Trish hearing the bet turned to them and smirked "Then ill bet that Reven wins" Her words caught the attention of the guys and smirk at her

"Okay then, how bout i give you one of these babies" "Sure then ill add up this tazerling" "Then ill give up my speedstinger and Rammstone but you guys must double your end" "Hmm, both look strong… sure" "Heh, this should be easy"

"Okay, kid first you must never be distracted" Geord fired off a very fast slug to my feet which i jumped quickly "Heh, interesting… like this?" getting a good aim i fired my tormato at him "Tsk, already learning? Then let's get to the 2nd lesson, you lose"

Then he rapidly fired 4 slugs at me "Why so serious old man" A hole appeared beside me, a rammstone almost hit me "Maybe you need something bombish?" Firing Nuke and bomb at him he smirked he dodged by stepping aside "You missed kid" then i smirked "Really?" then he looked where i looked which was under his knees, Nuke smirked under his feet "Freggers"

"AND THE WINNER IS REVEEEN" Geord came to me "Take your pick" he seemed sad about giving up his Crystalyd and said Slug looked sad, then looking at his other slugs "You've got some nice slugs" he smiled at my words, and said "Hehe, yeah" knowing my intentions he showed me his other slugs "You have interesting ones but i think ill take the Diggtrix"

I named Diggtrix Tunnel and made my way to the happy Trish "What happened" She happily showed me 4 slugs "I won the bet!" then she told me what happened "Heh, maybe ill bet sometime" "Nope, i can only bet not you mister" "Why??" "You always lose when it comes to betting"

"Tsk, its annoying you're always right" She smirked "I know"

After a little break, i was back at the tournament "On the right corner… REVEN!!! And on the left corner… Laqua!!!"

"Ill make you wet! That you'll go back to your mommy!" then she aimed at me "…Ill make you wet myself then" Aiming at her "STAAART!!" she fired an aquabeek at me which transformed and a sonar blast reached me "AHHHHHHHH!!!" i screamed as my eardrums almost burst "HAHAHA SCREAM!!"

She fired more aquabeek but this time i was prepared "Ha… Haa… Tornado Rocket i need you two" i fired the two of them and Tornado blew rocket at her "Haha kid i'm not that defenseless" She fired a rammstone at Nuke "Tsk! How about… This" I fired Magneto the slicksilver to her and Magneto managed to get her blaster

And i… "I win" she looked at me "Tsk" i looked at her slugs and saw some cool ones but knowing i was vulnerable without any defensive slugs. Although i would've wanted an armashelt i picked the Frostcrawler for their famous ice walls

This one i needed! Smiling at it, the frostcrawler smiled at me and hoped to my back "Finally getting a defensive one huh, took you long enough" "Yeah, i mean it was just a matter of time" Trish handed me a drink "Thanks" "No, thank you, i mean you gave me golds!!" "…Can you put some bet for me?" she raises an eyebrow "Sure"

After another wait, i battled again and won… the one i battled had some rare slugs which made me beat him harder a Neotox, Geoshard, frightgeist, and a Dirt Urchin picking one was hard since he liked most of his slugs

Besides the dirt urchin… in the end, i got the dirt urchin slug with decent training he gave me slug food too as thanks for not taking his rare slugs
