"Well, that was disappointing."

June could be seen "eating" the Giant Centipede inside him while in a bigger form.

Like eating the stones, he couldn't taste anything so it was kind of disappointed for him but at least he still got some mana from it.

After finished the monster, he spat out the armor shell. Its armor shell was too hard to digest and it was a waste of time to eat something that could not give him mana.

He then put the shell away and reduced his size to a normal slime because he didn't want to waste too much mana to maintain his big form.

"I need to increase my vision range again. I am lucky that monster sneaked up to me and stopped to look at me. If that monster decided to attack then I would not be here right now" He then took more food around and gathered as many as he could.

While eating, he was thinking of a new way to handle the Giant Centipedes around.

The monster he killed must be a hunter or a worker that looked for food, so there was a chance that another one would show up next time, and maybe there would be 2 or more.

After a hard fight like today, he wanted to avoid fighting as much as possible but that wouldn't be good as he wanted to level up to get more mana so he could maintain his bigger form. With bigger form, he could fight longer and tanker.

So a plan was formed in his mind. He was 50% sure that it would work if nothing wrong happened.

"I have a plan now. Just need to train my skills more."

The better skills, the better chance of success.

*3 days later*

"Go Bob Bait"

Jun threw a stone at an open area and a slime rushed to it like it was the most delicious thing it ever saw.

He decided to change from labels the slime with numbers to their roles that he assigned them for.

Bob Bait was the role he assigned the new slime, a bait...he wasn't very creative with names.

But that didn't matter right now. A Giant Centipede had come right into his field of vision, which had increased to 8 meters.

The monster was the same level as the last one but a bit stronger on STR. The appearance of the monster had confirmed one thing, there was definitely a pack lived near here.

Bad but also good news, bad for the safety of his safe zone but good to hunt for level and meals.

"But if this plan works well enough then the safety of my zone will be the least of my concern." He thought as he ready to execute his plan.

The monster slowly crawled to the defenseless slime then opened its mouth, ready to spit out acid.

But it didn't expect that the moment it did that, its life had been sealed.

Suddenly a sharp and fast object shot into its mouth. The monster didn't respond fast enough and the brain was destroyed. Despite it was death, its life ended way too fast for the body to react so it just stood in the same position.

"My Aim skill doesn't disappoint me at all." He walked to the monster then pushed it, resulting in the monster felt down hard and blood leaked out from the mouth. It didn't even have the chance to use its acid.

He then carried the body back after absorbing body mass from the Bob Bait. He also brought back Bob Bait's core.

The plan was a success and it was simple, used slime as bait to lure the monsters. Not just to get the mana and level from them but also tried to thin out their numbers, even he had to kill more for a long time.

He wasn't sure the plan would be this good as he didn't count other factors but he was sure that the Giant Centipedes preferred to acid the slimes rather fought them.

It was understandable, slimes were the weaker species and it would be a waste of time if they used the physical attack on slimes. His battle was different as the monster recognized him as equal or a great threat.

After he got back to the safe zone, he threw the Bob Bait back to the water then proceeded to eat his new meal.

He would do it again when he finished preparing Bob Bait so that he could proceed further, passed the point where Bob#2 was killed, and went out to the big world.

"I will show the goddess that slime isn't weak and in fact, it can pose a huge threat to all higher beings in the future." Surviving wasn't his objective anymore. His ambition now was to prove that the Goddess was wrong about slimes.

This thought came to him on a whim while he trained. A childish thought yet filled with the hope of a small and soon-to-be-legendary slime.

Many days had passed, he had used the same tactic to kill many Giant Centipedes.

Sometimes there were pairs but he handled them with small effort thanks to his Slime Bullet had reached level 4 and Aim reached level 3, he could shot 2 bullets in a short time while still had good accuracy.

He also increased his level to 4 and his mana increased his mana to 91, a full 9 meters range vision. His 40 mana was from his level while the other 50 was from eating mana stones and Giant Centipedes.

But he wasn't happy, he killed so many yet they couldn't pass the point where Bob#2 died. There were so many of them that it seemed that they kept spamming endlessly like an RPG game but he was sure that those monsters were over 1 year old and some of them had reached level 3 so it would be impossible for them to spawn.

The description was not specific about how many there were in the pack so he was clueless.

"Crap, don't tell me they have over a thousand." He was a bit scared now.

But he stopped thinking as a new Giant Centipede came.

"What the heck? This one...!!"

This time the new monster was a little bigger than normal ones but its color was full black which made it stood out from the rest.
