No one was concentrating on the lesson. Instead, all of their attention was now focused
on two boys in the class, Aiden and Alan. You've had one day, and your deadline is here.
Now, which of you will give me the answer first? Mr. Harvey's eyes narrowed as he
looked curiously at Aiden and Alan. Everyone else's gazes also fell onto the two of them.
Mr. Harvey, let me go first! Alan looked smugly at Aiden before striding towards the
front.
His demeanor was unfazed, and his posture relaxed. His handsome appearance caused
many girls in the class to stare at him with admiration. Viola, however, looked at Aiden
nervously, only to find him daydreaming next to her.
She stamped her feet in frustration at his casual demeanor. Aiden must have done it,
mustn't he? She thought to herself. She did not know that Aiden was complaining
incessantly to himself.
Those shameless parents of mine, always being so loud and making it difficult for me to
sleep every night! Taking the paper from Alan's hand, Mr. Harvey adjusted his glasses
and looked through the work carefully. He nodded in satisfaction and said, Your steps are
clear, and the thinking is smooth. Although the method is a bit conservative, there are
no mistakes.
Pass. Alan smirked as he returned to his seat and looked arrogantly at Aiden. Surely he's
the winner.
It looks like Alan's going through to the competition. Being able to compete in the
regional mathematics competition in the first year of high school is so cool! I kind of feel
bad for Aiden. He's going to be humiliated in front of the entire class.
Serves him right, always dozing off in class. Mr. Harvey looked at Aiden and said lightly,
Aiden, it's your turn. Aiden rubbed his tired eyes and nonchalantly took out a stack of
paper, at least 10 pages from his bag.
When he handed it to Mr. Harvey, a burst of laughter sounded from the class of students.
Aiden must have given up on himself. He must have just brought a bunch of examples
from the textbook to fool Mr. Harvey.
I can't wait to see how Mr. Harvey deals with him. Mr. Harvey's gaze hardened as he
pointed at the stack of paper and said coldly, Aiden, what is the meaning of this?
Sir, you'll understand once you open it, Aiden yawned and said
leisurely. Is there even a need to look? Surrounded by a crowd of students, Allen said in
disdain, the standard answer to this question is at most a dozen or so steps.
Since Aiden wrote so much, he must be trying to fool you, sir. Punish him quickly.
Looking closely at Aiden, Mr. Harvey proceeded to flip through the stack of paper in his hand and read each step thoroughly.
One, two. Mr. Harvey, with his head lowered, remained silent as he flipped through the
pages one by one. Through the lenses of his glasses, they could see that he barely
blinked, but the students in the front row clearly noticed that his hands were trembling
slightly.
What's going on? Could it be that we were fooled by that kid? It can't be. Mr. Harvey
must surely be thinking about how he should increase Aiden's punishment. As the time
passed, the atmosphere of the class became more tense with each flip of a page.
Dennis Harvey finally closed the pages and raised his head. After letting out a long
breath, he asked Aiden solemnly, Aiden, did you write all this yourself? Aiden replied
with a single nod. I only have one question.
Aiden, can you answer me? You are too polite, sir. Feel free to ask any questions. Why
are you so talented? Yet you... Before the system in his head, Aiden's grades were
shocking.
That was why he was known as junior year's number one failure. With the system on the
other hand, his learning ability had surged by leaps and bounds, which would definitely
arouse the suspicion of others. Luckily, Aiden had already thought of how to answer this
question.
I wasn't really trying in the entrance exam. I didn't think much about it. Aiden
deliberately remained calm so as to not raise any further suspicion.
Mr. Harvey nodded and indicated that Aiden could go back to his seat. I am very happy
and honored to see that Aiden and Alan are both such outstanding students. In one
month's time, they will both be representing the class in the regional mathematics
competition.
Hearing Mr. Harvey's words, everyone was stunned for a moment before erupting in loud
applause. Viola, in a moment of excitement, clapped her hands until they were sore.
How can this be? Alan's face was full of suspicion and doubt as he suddenly stood up.
He pointed at Aiden in disbelief and asked accusingly, Did you get someone else to do it
for you as well? Aiden smirked and answered, Alan, your use of words as well is rather
interesting. Could it be that you got someone else to answer the questions for you?
Alan's face froze just as he noticed Mr. Harvey looking daggers at him, biting his lip. He
suddenly threw caution to the wind and stated, Yes, I admit that I got a senior year
student, Flake, to help me with this problem.
Hearing this, the class erupted in an uproar. But Alan pointed at Aiden, gritting his teeth.
I know you borrowed senior year's math textbook from Blake, but I tore out the key pages about those particular questions.
So how did you manage to solve them? Since his scheme was exposed, he might as well
drag Aiden down with him. Before Alan's words were even out, the class were on their
feet again. The students were so shocked by Alan's words that they were rendered
speechless.
Viola's face turned pale as she scolded angrily. Alan, you shameless cheat! She had
never thought that Alan would do such an evil thing, almost causing Aiden to fail. Aiden
sneered inwardly.
He had already noticed that something had happened to the math textbook, but he had
not expected it to be done by Alan. Without the system's help, he really would have
fallen for his trickery. Regaining his composure, Aiden smiled mysteriously and asked,
Who told you that I-
