Chapter 82
He ran ahead with the camera while I took a pencil and notepad to write down the name and telephone number posted on the sign. When I looked at my cell phone, I was surprised to find that there was a decent signal, so I called George and Mike’s Realtor. Like many Realtors, he was in his office on Sunday afternoon, and I gave him the information from the sign. He in turn said he would look the property up in his multiple-listing records. He also gave me directions to his office. Nate eventually came out of the woods and said, “Where were you?”
“Babe, you didn’t need my help taking pictures, besides which, I’ve been busy.”
“Busy?”
“On the telephone. I just spoke to Hugh Williams, and by the time we get to his office, he’ll have some information for us.”
“Who’s Hugh Williams?”
“George and Mike’s Realtor.”
“Oh.”
“Let’s go.”
