Chapter 21

“This is a great restaurant,” I said, as I munched on my pesto chicken pizza.

“Yes, it is, and this particular location is brand new—they spent a year or so remodeling this side of the mall to add several restaurants. As you probably know, we don’t have a California Pizza Kitchen in Jacksonville, although I believe one may be on the drawing boards for the area between St. Johns Bluff Road and Southside Boulevard. They have a couple of locations in Orlando, however.”

“Really? Where?”

“At the Florida Mall and the Millennia Mall, if memory serves.”

“I’ll file that bit of information away for future reference. Aren’t you worried that we might be seen together here?”

“Not really. Our branch manager lives over in Clearwater, and this place is a little too upscale for the rank and file.”

“Fair enough. Can we talk about this week?”

“Certainly.”

“Who do you think I should focus most of my attention on? That is, what does your gut tell you?”
