CHAPTER TWO

Emily

"Hi."I said as I opened the door and found out it was only Steph.

"Hey,can I come in?"she asked.

"Ofcourse,come in."I replied with a smile as I made enough space for her then she entered and I closed the door.

"I was calling you but your phone was switched off."she said as she sat down close to me on the couch.

"Oh! I forgot to put it back on." I said as I quickly switched it on.

"So, what brought you here?"I asked her.

"Nothing, I guess I was just bored so I decided to come to your house."she replied.

"Thanks for coming,I needed company too."I replied with a small laugh as the both of us continued watching the movie together.

During the week, we became closer and we started hanging out together and telling each other things.

I and Steph have known each other for some time but we have never been too close.

There seems to be a shift in our friendship recently though and I'm not complaining.

"Emily did you hear the news?"

"What news?" I asked Smith as he came and sat beside me.

"There is a sleepover coming up this weekend in the twin's house and it's ending next week Wednesday morning because of the public holiday." he said as he wrote something on his book.

"Okay?" I asked acting confused when I actually knew where this was going.

"Please, it's for both boys and girls and you know I have a crush on Kelly and this might be an opportunity for me to hit on her,please Emily,a lot of people are coming.

Maybe not a lot but people are coming." He added as he saw the look on my face.

"Oh,you mean people like you."I said with a bored tone.

I'm not going to be convinced by him to go for one more sleepover.

"What do you mean by people like me? Okay let me burst your bubble,Xander Blake is also coming."

"really?" I asked him because that will even be one reason why I won't want to go.

"Yeah, are you surprised?" He asked smiling.

He is obviously impressed with himself for the information.

"Ummm,not really but I still don't understand why you are telling me about his plans to come for the sleepover." I replied faking disinterest.

"Emm,even if no one knows,I know you have a big crush on Xander." he said with a nasty grin.

"I don't." I said failing to hide my blush.

"You do." he said with the same grin on his face.

"Well, don't forget I have a boyfriend..."

"Who is out of the country right now." Smith completed.

"Even though he is out of the country I know that Jayden loves me so much and I can't betray him." I said not denying the fact that I have a big crush on Xander Blake.

"Whatever,just tell me if you change your mind."he said with an eye roll before the bell rang.

I quickly packed up my things and went to the canteen.

As soon as I got there, I ordered a medium sized burger with a cola drink then I took my tray of food and headed to the closest table I could find.

I felt eyes on me but I don't know what made me turn to look at the direction of the table that Xander and his group was sitting on and I swear our eyes met then he smirked and his dimples popped out.

Damn!

He touched Austin,his best friend who was sitting close to him and the both of them placed their eyes on me.

I didn't realize I was lost in thought until Steph called my name and luckily for me, I was standing close to her table.

"Hey." I said with an embarrassed smile as I sat down on a chair opposite hers.

"So, Emily did you hear about the sleepover?" She asked me in the middle of the meal.

"Yeah,I did."I replied still eating.

"So, are you going?" She asked again.

"I really don't know.I'm friends with the twins but after what happened in the last sleepover, I'm not sure I want to go.

What about you?" I asked her.

"I'm going, besides I can't just spend the weekend and public holiday alone when I have another welcoming alternative." She replied as she chewed her meat ball.

"I will go then." I said smiling.

"really?" She asked with an exited shriek.

"Yeah." I replied.

As I got home, I started preparing for the sleepover after doing some things. Steph was also there with me so it was easier to select the things I will be needing in the sleepover.

I carried my teddy bear, pyjamas and another night wear. I also carried about three outing clothes in case of necessity and other few clothes that I feel I will be needing.

    As I took my bath, I started thinking of the reason why Xander decided to come fur the sleepover.

Actually, Kelly is a twin so her twin brother is obviously the one inviting the guys and her parents are very wealthy so we don't actually need to worry about where to stay or sleep.

I finished taking my bath, put on a black skinny jeans and a white crop top to match with a black sandals.

I combed my hair and packed it up in a ponytail then, I did a light makeup.

I have already called my mum to inform her about the sleepover and as usual, she agreed for me to go.

Steph was actually waiting for me in my living room because we were supposed to go together in her brother's car.

As I got downstairs, I told her I was ready and the both of us got into her brothers car before he drove off.

So, we are really doing this. I can't help being nervous and I know this is not my first sleepover but the thought of Xander Blake being there has my mind spinning.

" That is the house." Steph told Liam as he stopped us then we went down and took out our luggages.

"Bye Liam."Steph said as she hugged him and I stood there feeling awkward.

"I can still spare another hug."he told me smiling.

"Leave her alone." Steph said with an eye roll as she held my hand and the both of us headed inside the house but I didn't miss the nasty grin on his face as he openly checked me out. Weird.

As we got inside, we met other people in the living room. I sighted Smith but he was talking to a group of guys. I didn't see Xander so, I was kinda disappointed but I will never admit that to any soul.

"Let's take a look around the house." Steph said as she touched my hand.

"Okay." I replied as I left my bag there because it was clear that we were all just coming so no one has gone to the room.

"Kelly's house is really magnificent" I said to Steph as I admired the peach and white painted house. The living room was painted white but the other parts of the house were painted with other nice light colours but I didn't get to see the room yet because I heard the sound of a car coming to a stop and it was actually not only a car. There were cars.

Four cars I think as I strained my eyes to see the owners of the cars.

Xander and his best friend with two of his other friends came down from the dark blue sport car then Santana and her clowns with some of my school mates came down from the other three cars.

I couldn't stop staring at Xander as he put his left hand into his pocket and his other hand in his hair and scattered it in a way that looked hot.

"Let's go in,more people have arrived." Steph said as she didn't seem to notice the way I was staring at Xander. Well, thank God for that,I'm not ready to answer any question.

As the both of us got inside,we sat down in the living room and through out the time Kelly and Ken were welcoming us, I could feel Alexander's eyes on me but I wasn't sure if it isn't just my imagination.

I know Xander didn't come to this sleepover because of Kelly's invitation because as far as I know, he cares only about himself so maybe it's because Ken is one of his guys that he decided to show up.

Later, Kelly showed us to the girls room and as expected it has been arranged. I quickly went to the room I felt was the second biggest because Kelly has chosen the biggest one and it's four people to a room so I chose the bed close to the wall. I guess I and Steph will use this one.

We happened to be twelve plus Kelly so, we will occupy only  three rooms.

"Hi."I heard a voice call from behind me.

I turned and surprisingly it was Santana. Jeez, she is in this room? today just had to get worse.

"Hey." I replied her.

"Well, guess we are staying in the same room and I'm stuck with you so I hope we get along." She said surprising me with a smile.

"Well, I also hope we get along." I said returning the smile and really meaning my statement.

She brought her hand for a handshake and I returned it. I don't get Santana but she is too proud and feels that Xander is only hers.

She left and I started arranging my things.

" What was that?" Steph asked as she sat down on the bed.

"I don't know." I said before telling her what just happened.
