Lukas approached his mother, who was crying uncontrollably and sat down beside her. He then put his arm around her neck and hugged her. His mother rested her head on his shoulder and continued to cry.
Lukas remained strong; he controlled himself and stood there to support his mother. He had to be strong at this moment. He couldn't go into despair or have a crying fit. That would make his mother's situation worse.
But deep down, he wanted to cry like her. He had just lost his father.
And it was so sudden that it didn't make sense. Coincidentally this happened when he was researching what had happened to his father. What is it? Was some God playing with him?
He clenched his fists and bit his lips.
He then took a deep breath and placed his hand on his mother's head.
"It's going to be all right." It was his turn to say it.
