Before Departure

(No P.O.V)

Vanessa woke up to the partial darkness of the bedroom, although she couldn't recall how she'd slept off.

"You're awake?"

Her head turned at the familiar voice of her master, "Lord Dante?!". Half startled about waking up with his arms wrapped around her body and at the thought of what had happened last night, she jerk back in embarrassment. "I... Uhhm..."

What should she say to him?

"Shhh", pulling her back into his arms. "I'd like to savor this moment". He placed his chin on her head.

If she was going back in the next few hours, this might be the last time they'd see in years. Time went faster in the demon continent than in the human realm.

A second in the demon realm was a minute there. A minute an hour, an hour was a day, a day was a week, and so on.

Unaware to Vanessa, they'd spent about three months in the demon continent therefore three years had gone by in the human realm.
