Introduction

He caresses her cheek. It was so soft yet wet from the tears coming form her eyes. Who could do such a cruel thing to her, to beat her, to take advantage of her body. She embraces him in her arms. She whispers to his ears, "Thank you master."

"No," he responds, "I am not your master. You have nobody to call master to. You are free. Free to go anywhere you wish, You do not even have to be mine."

"But I want to be yours. I love you so much."

"But you can't call me master. I do not want you to be my slave. I want you to be my lover. I want you to be my wife. Anything but a slave."

She gives him a quick kiss on his lips. "Then I shall be your lover. I shall be your wife. Because I may no longer be a slave to a cruel man, but I am a slave to your love."

She presses her lips once more to his and this time never lets go. The tender kiss soon turn into passionate love as they both get thrown into the heat of the moment. They could not stop, they would not stop, for this was all that matter, this alone.

He suddenly stops as he looks towards the door. He pulls out his gun from the bed and says, "Someone is coming. We have to-"

It was too late as the doors burst open. Two men in suits come in, guns in the ready. A third man enters between them, also with a gun. "Here you are," the third man boldly exclaims, "what are you waiting for, men? Kill him. I'll bring her back to the master."

This is an alternative world where slavery still exists, where it has become a business to buy and sell humans, where you may do anything you wish to them without punishment. The only rule is that only criminals accused of crimes can be slaves and the crime must fit the punishment. If one steals food from the store, they must be a slave for 2 months. If they steal a car, 10 months. But if they murder someone, they must be a slave for the rest of their lives. But it doesn't matter how long you are a slave, your master can be cruel to you. They can hurt you, take advantage of your body, they can even kill you and they would not get punished themselves.

However, there is another way to be turned into a slave and that is to be poor. The rich and powerful politicians rule this world and the decided that if you are poor or below a certain income, or even worse homeless, you are a failure in society and must pay your debt by becoming a slave. And this is the situation that Ari is facing.

She was a beautiful young woman at 22 years old, with hair that was long beyond her shoulders. She had dark eyes that had seen so many cruelties but her skin was still beautiful. However, she had a slim body because she wasn't fed well. She did eat enough to sustain herself but not enough to regain strength. This was one of the awful tactics used to keep her enslaved since she was little. However, for the next few weeks she was fed more so than before because they needed her to be more fit. She was now standing on the stage, naked, chained, and was being put to auction.
